My husband moved into Bickford of Lincoln. I visit him once a week, and he's content and happy there. There are no problems. He has meals there. He can have them brought to his room, or he can go to the dining room -- he has a choice. I haven't eaten there, though. The staff is very outstanding. The facility is just fine, but I haven't been there enough to really judge anything. They have bingo, movies, and things like that.

The staff at Bickford of Lincoln seemed like they knew everyone's name. The residents and the staff were warm with each other. Their menu was very well displayed. I saw a salon and a backyard area. It was just pretty average, but it seemed tidy and smelled OK. It's near to restaurants and some shopping.

Bickford of Lincoln had more of a nursing home feel, but the staff was incredible. They were friendly and knowledgeable. It really was nice, but not quite the place for my mom. We saw assisted living and memory care. The staff was phenomenal. They had lots of activities and they have a hairdresser on file, but it was a smaller facility. They had cookies out and the cookies were phenomenal.

I had an in-person tour of Bickford of Lincoln. It was a very nice place, and it was smaller. It seemed as though they had more personal care. They had a very nice courtyard. I only met the administrator and head nurse, and they were both really good. We toured two or three different rooms. They had different sizes available. It was very clean and nice. We saw some residents eating. From what I could see, they all seemed to be eating and enjoying themselves. We saw the activity room. They had a popcorn maker and different things. They had a really nice sunroom that was all glass enclosed. There was also another area that looked more like a library, and it had a fireplace and a place to sit down and read. We were in a kind of larger conference room where we were having our meeting. The kitchen itself, or the dining room, was quite open and spacious.

Bickford of Lincoln was very nice. The gal that took me on a tour and her knowledge of the dementia disease was amazing. She did a great job at following up and so I loved her. She gave an awesome tour. It was just a little more expensive. The memory care units were nice and they were smaller, which is good, especially for my mom. It was a little older, but it's still decorated very nicely. The dining room looked beautiful. It's just a beautiful and very clean facility. It was even clean on the outside. The outdoor grounds were all manicured. So, everything I saw was gorgeous.

Bickford of Lincoln knew that we were coming. The place was very nice, clean, and very lovely. It's an older building, but they had it decorated nicely. The director was very, very friendly but a tad pushy. She was trying to convince us that was the best place for our mom. Any director would feel that their location is the best location, but there was that feeling of being kind of pressured into it (not totally though, just a little bit). It was still a very nice visit. She was very, very pleasant. The rooms just seemed tiny and kind of compact. I understand that the person that's there is for assisted living and may not need lots of room. However, the reason why my mom didn't care for it is the fact that she felt like it was kind of just really tight. She would have felt more like in an institutional type, instead of a home or an apartment.

I visited Bickford of Lincoln for my sister. They were very helpful, and it was a very nice place. I checked the assisted living, I think, but they have memory care there also. I think the room was very a good size, and had a nice walk-in closet. Most of the other places don't have big closets. It was very clean and nice. The staff was very good, she knew everything, and she was very helpful.

Bickford of Lincoln was very incredible and they allow pets. But they didn't have independent living, and we'd have to pay for assisted living even though my mother wasn't at that level yet. There were also only one or two people of her caliber, and she would have been care-taking people because she's like that. The food was incredible-looking, and the staff was very loving, caring and patient. They had maybe sicker people with less mentation. But they were excellent with those people and were very caring with those people from what I saw. It had a very homey type of setup with like a house front-door, although it was a locked community. They were extremely great. If they had an independent living we would have gone there. You'd have to pay 3 years before going into Medicaid there. They didn't have a gym, they just had like a bicycle.

Bickford Senior Living was friendly and had a lot of activities. The cleanliness was fine. I didn’t notice it being dirty, and there were no odors. The layout was fine. The thing that I decided against it was because the memory care unit was smaller and was isolated from the rest of the facility.

They showed us around, and there were so many people there on the tour. Bickford has multiple room sizes. The staff was very nice and very eager to answer questions that we had with as much as information as possible, who were very into the residents. The dining room was fine, and they let me look over the menus from the week before and the current week. The dining room was clean, very well laid out and very open for people who needed wheelchairs or walkers to get around. They had a sitting group, so people could get to know each other all the better, to kind of form relationships and friendships and get them involved in the community.

The visit with Bickford of Lincoln was very good. We thought that the staff was very friendly. We saw them interact with the residents, and that was very positive. The place seemed clean and homey. The rooms were much more like home. I looked at their activities scheduled and we liked the activities offered. I thought I saw one activity in progress and it seemed fine. We liked that there was a whirlpool, a courtyard with tables, sun rooms and exercise machines. We liked the amenities.

We have put a deposit down at Bickford. It is a very good place. Everyone was very nice, very friendly, and very cooperative. They have continued to keep in touch and follow up with us. I would recommend them. They have one- and two-bedroom units with a small kitchenette area, large bathroom, closet space, separate living room, and bedroom.

I visited Bickford of Lincoln for my husband. It was very nice. Their rooms were alright. They had assisted living, and then they had an Alzheimer's area. The staff was very good. Regarding activities, I saw them doing some crafts. Also I did see some of the Alzheimer's patients doing crafts.

I have a family friend that moved her mother there three years ago. I have heard only good things about the very homey atmosphere as well as the staff that works there. I have visited twice and it always smells so nice and the fireplace is so cozy. There is always something going on and people out and about which is comforting to see.
