I really enjoyed my stay at Mount Carmel. I was there for therapy after a fractured hip. The staff are extremely kind and treated me and my husband like family. The therapists were amazing and the facility was clean. They have a main menu and if you don’t like what’s being served you can choose from 10 other items. I often got a cheese quesadilla. I will return here if I need help in the future and recommend mount Carmel to everyone.

I was at Mt Carmel Home - Keens Memorial in Kearney. Do not go there. It was horrible. It was a nightmare. The staff was very friendly, but they would not come. If I rang my bell, I would have to wait sometimes over an hour just to go to the bathroom because I couldn't get up on my own. I had fallen twice to get to my walker to get to the bathroom because they put my walker across the room. I had to walk and I'm still weak. I fell twice doing that because they wouldn't come to help me go to the bathroom. The facility was old and dirty. I was only there a week. I cannot remember housekeeping ever coming in. It was not good. I was in quarantine there, so I was not allowed to go outside. They took me by van from the hospital to the facility, and they brought me in the backdoor. It was like how you go behind the store or restaurant and there were dumpsters. The food was awful. Every meal was meal surprise. You had no idea what you were getting. They just brought you whatever. They would take two or three days of leftovers and mix them together to make like a nasty casserole surprise. It was disgusting. The food was just gross. They were a lot more expensive than where I'm at now.
