Eagle Cliff was not a nice place; it’s very dark and dreary. They were not very friendly, but they had lots of activities from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., like craft and painting. The dining area was fine, but you have to eat from a limited and bland menu.

When first searching for a facility we rejected this facility but surprisingly chose it two years later because it was closer to other family members. The facility was decorated in a rather medicinal environment as it was originally a county hospital. Rooms could be small as most unless you can have your own room. Staff turnover was frequent especially with activities staff. Two different dining rooms, one for residents that were self sufficient and one for very delayed residents. The most important part of this facility is that everyone including family members were welcome to participate in events and activities. Family members could readily access use of facility supplies and could use any community room as long as someone else was not using it. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They appeared to care about residents. We as family just felt more welcome than at the previous facility. Residents were provided with transportation to doctor appointments to shop. A small garden was available for assisted living residents to grow flowers. Two outside green areas for residents and family, one which was very nice with beautiful flowers, plants and a covered seating area. Events were frequent with daily activities for residents and at least every couple of months a large event that families were invited to attend and participate in.
