I have had my mom in this facility for the past 16 months after removing her from another facility after only 18 hours. I am completely satisfied with the care she receives in the dementia unit. She and most of the patients in this area benefit from the laid back, quieter atmosphere. There have been numerous activities scheduled, especially around the holidays. Every month I receive a calendar with all activities and am always welcome to attend. I am confident in her care by watching her one on one relationship with the staff, her physical status and the calls I receive regarding changes in her. My input is always taken into consideration. Her situation is not the best, but their care for her has allowed her a better quality of care than I was able to continue providing on my own at home. Thanks for all they do.

The rooms and facility as a whole is dirty unsanitary. Food on floors cotton balls scattered throughout the facility on the floor. As far as the staff goes lol, well let's just say all are very disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. There is a few who seem to know what they are doing but it does not make up for all who don't. Most definitely NOT a place where I would recommend for anybody, not even animals. I believe a veterinary clinic would be more suitable then this place.

The patients at Strafford Care Center with incontinence have to wait longer to be changed. It's a lot larger, and in the Alzheimer's unit, they don't have the activities in there for them like the other places. The facility was clean, but the patients didn’t look as clean. The staff was very nice. The food is taken in to the Alzheimer's unit. They don't come out to eat in the dining room. The patients seemed drugged and not interacting as much as in the other memory centers. In the regular units, they have activities, but I didn't see any activities in the Alzheimer's unit at all.
