Grand Daughter Missouri

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The resident rooms just have a bed no chairs for the residents to sit. So they have to sit on the side of their bed or in a wheelchair even if they do not need a wheelchair. The smell when you walk in the front door is awful. The smell of urine is very overwhelming. When I asked which direction to my grandma's room the lady at the front desk was very rude and said you have to have a mask on. I was happy to wear a mask but needed to know where to find one. These was a puddle on the floor which was urine and I had to clean that up and there were no gloves in the residents room.

The staff let me into the facility the day she went there, but made me gown up, glove up and wear a mask. I wanted to go in the day she left because we had problems with them losing her clothes the entire time she was there. I now have to buy her new clothes. The staff dismissed my concerns and did not communicate with me. I asked several time if the doctor had seen her and never got an answer. I found out after she left that she was being treated for a condition and was not told. If she had any medication left it was not given to me. She told me that the food was bad.

My mother was in Abbey Woods Center For Rehabilitation And Healing for rehab. She was there for twenty-four days. The staff was horrible, the facility was dirty, she didn't get her medications on time, and the food was bad. Physical therapy was average. The staff, the facility, the food, everything was awful. The social director there is incompetent. The facilities were not cleaned regularly, they were understaffed, they left my mother unattended for long periods. They would not respond to her calls for assistance. They left her unattended at one point for 14 hours. They left her unattended during a fire drill, when they vacated the building, they left her there. It was bad. The place should be closed down.
