My wife was at Glendale Gardens Nursing & Rehab. The people there were nice. They were good. The food was OK. The facility was fairly clean. It could have been a little bit better, but I think they were a little short-staffed. My wife wasn't there very long but I know they played some bingo. The atmosphere was good. The rooms were small and cramped. Their dining area was really nice, clean, and well-organized.

The staff is very scattered. They are disorganized and get mad when family question what they are doing for the resident. They leave people laying in beds screaming out for help and just ignor them. If my grandmother had been left alone after being placed in the facility after surgery, I am not sure how she would have survived! We have attended to her every need. She was placed there for physical therapy and she has not gotten out of the bed but 1 time for physical therapy in 4 days. She hasn't been kept turned to prevent bed sores either. Our family WOULD NOT recommend this facility to anyone! They also medicate at night so the resident is not a neucence to the staff! I had to stop them from giving my grandma Ativan so she would be konked out! She couldn't wake up from it and therefor hasn't been able to take therapy! They are defeating the purpose by doping her up at night with so much meds she can't wake up the next day! Thank long and hard about placing your loved one in this facility if you truly care about them!

The Christian Healthcare facility was recently renovated. The facilities are well maintained and are visually appealing. The facility has two dining areas, two gathering areas, and a physical therapy area. The building has four wings for residents that house approximately fifty people per wing. These rooms may be either a single room or a double room. The nurses are helpful and kind. However, sometimes it seems that the nurses are not as attentive to their charges as they should be. Visitation is welcome and as a volunteer I was readily welcomed into the facility. The activities coordinator is an extremely nice man who was very involved with the residents. On many occasions I would see him assisting the residents and trying to entertain them. For example during the Christmas season, he was helping a large group of residents to paint plastic ornaments. More recently, the coordinator was playing a Jeopardy style of trivia game with the residents that everyone seemed to enjoy. If you're considering a nursing home facility, Christian Healthcare is certainly an excellent choice to consider.
