Melissa, Tara, Bailey, Kelsy (sp? dietary sup), Jeremy (therapy lead), Angie in the bistro, Geno (sp? housekeeping), and I am certain I am missing others........Staff was AMAZING in helping my family in an urgent situation. They accepted my sister in law with open caring arms. I am forever grateful for their kind, caring hearts and the care and attention they give her. Highly recommend :)

Birch Pointe appears nice, but the administrator and many of the very limited staff are not competent. The residents are merely a paycheck. They are ignored, served cold food, dozens at a time are left unattended in the dining area. I’ve been there multiple times when someone has fallen and no one is in a hurry to help. The only “activities” I’ve seen are bingo and a tv left on all day in the common area. Family care plan meetings are a waste of time. The administrator doesn’t attend and the staff gives stats on meds or weight changes, but they don’t know your family member personally. They agree to make an effort on family requests or concerns and make no changes. Each quarterly meeting with them is a repeat. Residents walk around in or sit in soiled clothing and adult underwear that sags with the weight of their own waste. I have dated photos showing residents in the same clothes for over a week. I have witnessed, personally, Feces on curtains, walls, and clothing, and urine on the floor in bathrooms. Oral hygiene is not addressed at all unless you do it for your loved one. Partials, dentures, glasses, shoes - are always lost. The staff is “bothered” when we ask where belongings are and then blame it on the patient. If there is a covid outbreak, they do not quarantine and stated to us that doing so, is impossible. Positive Covid and Negative covid tested patients share rooms, dining area, and common areas. Staff (administrator) documented that family was called for an “incident”, when we were not. Save yourself the heartache; do not admit your loved ones here. Our seniors deserve better.

There are never enough staff to help out and the ones working run around in tears. They do the best they can but often residents are walking around soaked through a brief and pants. Some staff lack compassion when the residents seem confused. Food had been improving. The activity department isn't active enough residents complain they're bored a lot. There is a lot of lies from the administration when complaints are made that things will change. Mostly feel it's swept under the rug. The communication tends to be terrible I've heard other families concerned about their loved one being taken out of the facility and staff not having any clue where to find the residents. The place when you walk in to look seems nice but I recommend visit unplanned drop by just to observe staff and whatnot....

This is the nicest nursing facility I've ever seen! And it smells clean and fresh! A family friend spent her last days at Birch Pointe and she loved the staff and the facility. They truly care about their residents. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. You all have a very tough job and I appreciate your commitment to taking care of our loved ones like they were your own!

I had a family member that was in the facility. She ended up with bed sores and lack of care. She was sent back to the hospital. The hospital noted several bed sores. My family member wasn't even there for one full month. I have worked in the social services field for over 25 years. The Covid-19 did not allow any family member to see her, not even her husband. I still feel that her health decline was due to lack of care. I would not recommend this place to no one. Even with COVID-19, family members should have a say and input when released from the hospital.

This place is a joke. They tired to give my grandma medicine that she was allergic to. They did ask her name and was looking at the wrong patient chart. Then the nurse gave us an attitude. It was brought to the administrator and the DON and they just said it was our word against theirs. Absolute bull. They need to apologize and fix things not make excuses.

My dad went to Birch Pointe. The building is very nice and the room was fine. The service was not good. I won't say on a daily basis that it wasn't good, but I'm having issues with them. They also had slow response times, and they didn't call me when he fell. In the nurses' notes that I asked the director to give me, it says that they did contact me, but they did not, so that was false information. I don't even know if they called the doctor. My dad fell on a Monday. I was there on Monday, no one said anything, and I was there on Tuesday, no one said anything. When I was there Wednesday my dad's incision from his surgery was bleeding, and they were working with that. I had no idea what had happened, and they said it was from a fall, but no one told me anything about that. I took my dad to the hospital and it turned out that he had a hematoma and a fracture. They are the direct cause of what we're going through right now, so I would not recommend them. My father did not like their food so he lost weight. They only had very few activities on the rehab side.
