My dad has been living in Copper Rock Village for little over a year now. He loves it there. He has a little red scooter that he can run around in to visit people and just do whatever he wants. It's such a lovely place. They fix their meals. They have a barber. They have a doctor on site all the time. He gets his meds, and they have little rooms if your family wants to eat a special dinner. They have little community centers in the middle of each hall that has a fireplace and big screen TV, where they can sit out and visit. They have a church too. It is top of the line. The staff has always been ever so helpful to us. They just never acted aggravated or anything when we've called or had issues with his phone. They would go down and try to fix it, and that was COVID time when they weren't letting anyone in. They were awesome during the COVID thing. They were on top of it. The social worker was busy, but she always gets back to you if you can't talk to her right at that moment. Dad also loves the food. They have a cafeteria and a little place on each wing where you can order a burger or a snack. The atmosphere feels very good. The place is nice. The rooms are clean, and the residents are all very friendly. They have a lot of fun activities to do, and they even have their own therapy room.

My Mom has been at Copper Rock Nursing Facility in Rogersville, Missouri for a year. The neglect is horrible! They wait 45 minutes or longer, once they turn on their light. They sit in urine and excrement for hours. My mom has had at least 6 UTI's since she has been there. We have had to buy numerous cushions for her recliner and wheelchair, AT OUR EXPENSE, because they let her sit in wet diapers too long and it soaks in and you can't get the urine smell out. We have reminded them repeatedly to keep pads in the recliner and wheelchair, but they fail to do so. She is supposed to wear Depends, but they find it easier to use diapers. Diapers don't hold as much as Depends and leak badly! We had to put up a camera because of items gone missing and she lay on the floor for 5 hours one night before they found her. They left her in the dining room for hours before returning her to her room. Yesterday they left her in bed until 4:30 in the afternoon. No breakfast or lunch. The beautician left because they weren't giving her enough hours. The doctor has never seen my mom, it's been the nurse practitioner, and she tried to avoid speaking with my sister. Mom had medicine that arrived from the pharmacy, and they took the package back to my mom, instead of giving it to the nurse. You can never get anyone on the phone after 5 pm. The meals look like canned dog food. She has drinks and munchies in the room, but no one offers to get it for her, except family. Yes, the facilities are nice, but the staff is negligent, careless, lazy, and undependable. They now ONLY have temps. They don't even have an administrator or social worker. The RN is new and not sure if she is full or temp. They are losing patients as quickly as they are losing staff. Beds aren't full. Take my word for it, please look elsewhere for your loved one!

Copper Rock Village was very nice and new. I didn't get to see too much because of restrictions, but from what I saw, it's a very beautiful place. It's just a year old, so it's really nice. The people were fantastic. They bent over backwards to help. That would be my next place if my sister-in-law didn't work out where she's at. I've just seen pictures of the rooms, and they seemed real nice and comfortable. It was excellent, very well maintained, and really nice looking. The staff was very alert. The grounds looked really nice.
