Rooms are clean and comfortable. There are a variety of activities for residents to enjoy. I was there for rehab and the staff was very thorough, knowledgeable and patient. I was there for rehab of my leg and was unable to bear weight at all, which meant the nursing staff had to virtually take of me as if I was a baby. There was never any attitude about lifting me, no matter how many times it was required of them. Everyone in the facility, from social work to hospitality takes their job seriously and is very good at what they do and I can't express how grateful I am to have gone there.

My mother has been in Republic Nursing & Rehab for two years now. The people there are very, very good. My mother has onset dementia, so she takes a little extra care. They just do wonderful with her. They always keep them busy. What impressed me was when COVID came about, the fact that they locked it down for over a year. The activities girls would go in their rooms and do skits or they take them out. When they were locked down, they wouldn't even let them out of their rooms, so they took the entertainment to them. They're private pay, and they're Medicaid. They're very clean and very safe with COVID. They've got the big cafeteria. They've got an excellent rehabilitation staff. They worked diligently with her. When she got there, she wasn't able to stand up and take any steps; now she can. They take Medicaid and in this day and age, it's important to know that.

My father is in Republic Nursing and Rehab for less than 2 months. It's good, very clean, very friendly, but they could be a little bit faster when he buzzes for help. They have good food, they have a lot of things to do, and overall, it's a really good place. Most of the staff are really good, nice, but the director is not quite as friendly. She won't even speak to you when you walk in and meet her in the hall, and we come in quite a bit. They have a very good rotation of people that come in, like church and singing groups. My father said the food is good, I've seen it, and he also gained weight. Our main complaint is that the disclosure of medication is not good. We have yet to see the doctors. I don't think they come in ever, and I would be more pleased if they do. The location was a big part in what we did. He knows some people there which also helped, and it's easy for people from church, from the senior center to come and visit him. We felt this was the best fit for my father.
