Parkdale Manor did a lot of remodeling. So, it has improved in the last couple of years. The dining area and a lot of the rooms have had new paint, new tile, and been fixed up. So, it looks fairly nice now. Just like the people you meet on the street, the staff I met there varies. Some were unbelievably helpful and kind to me, over the top supporting, and went out of their way to help me and my mother, then there were others that were having a bad day and were grumpy. So, it was kind of a range of both, but there are multiple things they did that I greatly appreciated now that COVID hit. I don't really blame them for any bad things that happened during that time, just because it was hard on all healthcare at that time. I have eaten there and my mom really likes the food, and she always compliments it. She loves to play bingo, but they also play other games like flyswatter volleyball with balloons, and some kind of Pictionary or Wheel of Fortune. My only complaint with them is they don't do these activities every day, maybe only four days a week. So, my mom gets bored on the weekends. Also, even if they have done some remodelling, it is kind of hard to disguise the building's age.
