I wanted to put my father in Clark County Nursing Home but right now, they are not accepting individuals from outside of Clark County or Scotland County due to the Covid restrictions. They've taken my name though in case they open it up. His sister, my aunt, resides there right now and I visited her about a month ago. She has her own area, she has a bedroom and a separate TV room. She can walk down and they have a big dining area where they all gather together for dining. It's separate from the hospital or the medical facility. Those that require 24-hour nurse care were in a separate area. My aunt, due to her age, uses a walker but she's doing fine. I like the way the facility was set up. During my last visit, I saw the game room as I was walking out, but everybody had headed to the dining area since I left just before their lunch. It was obvious, though, that people had been playing cards and putting a jigsaw puzzle together, and there was another game there too. Her room is more than a room and less than an apartment because she has a bedroom and then another area where you can sit and watch TV and entertain. It's kind of like a den but she also has a table and chairs where she can sit. She has a little microwave and just a little kitchenette type of thing. There was the bedroom, and then there was this other room, which was kind of a small kitchenette and then a family room so she can have visitors over and sit down. The facility's dining area was a big room with plenty of tables. The building looked to be steady and I didn't see any leaks or anything like that. She also had a good view out the window.

We have had multiple loved ones reside at CCNH when living at home was no longer an option. I'm very grateful for the care they each received and experience of the staff. We stopped by at random times to check on them and were always greeted cordially without feeling like it was interfering with schedules. Facility was clean and the residents were also.

The staff has taken excellent care of my loved one, providing not only the daily care she needs, but compassion as well. The facility is clean and well taken care of by its employees.

On my multiple visits to the Clark County Nursing Home I found the facility to be clean, inviting and well maintained. The staff are wonderful, everyone is very friendly and the quality of care provided is excellent. The residents are all well-cared for and in all my visits I never witnessed an unpleasant interaction or an incident. On one specific occasion when we were trying to plan a birthday party for grandma, we found that it was going to be too difficult to remove her from the facility, even for the day. The staff immediately responded by finding us a room to use and even provided us with cups and ice for our party. All of grandma's favorite nurses came by and spent a few moments with her and that made the party much more exciting. The only negative things that could be said about CCNH is the small size of the facility makes for limited amenities. This facility does not have a tremendous amount of activities and options for the residents like some of the larger nursing homes do but it is a clean, happy place where all residents are respected and well cared for. I would recomend it to anyone for themselves or their loved ones.
