You wont find more caring, kind, and compassionate staff! Yes, overworked and understaffed but thats a management issue. I would give zero stars for the food. Carb-heavy, overcooked, and cold or soggy from foods running together, and very processed. Maybe im just ready to be home..

This place is terribly understaffed, answering a call light took up to two hours. Rooms and bathrooms are antiquated. Not set up for people with disabilities. No grab bars in the bathrooms, toilets are very low, and the showers in the bathrooms had duct tape over the drains. Not functional showers. I visited this home 3 years ago and thought it looked nice, but things have definitely changed. Just a terrible place to leave anyone.

The rooms are set up spacious and have plenty of room. The staff was horrible and they always take longer than 10 minutes to get to a call light.

The rooms are very small, cramped with 2 beds and 2 chairs. Bathroom always smells of stale urine, trash overflowing. I have observed some wonderful staff but I have also observed staff yelling at residents. They do little to pair a person with a suitable roommate. My MIL rarely eats the food, often served luke warm/cold. She gets 1 shower a week. Her clothing disappears even though we do her laundry, staff "has no idea" what happened to it. I would not recommend this facility.

The facility has made 180 degrees turn around since new management took over. The facility is clean and has no odors. Residents are well taken care of and the new staff actually care!!!! Previous management and staff that are gone didn't and it was obvious by the way the place smelled and looked, and the appearance of the residents. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!

My mom is there now. We are told she will be showered, and she doesn’t get one. Bathroom in her room always smelly,Couldn’t even find a trash can opened bathroom door it was right in door way and was full.Told them they did not care. Kept her room at 64 degrees because room mate was always hot my mom freezing, told them they upped it to 65 so we got her moved to another room. She is diabetic they gave her 2 pieces of cake same day. Sugar high next day gave her cake daughter told her not to eat it. They did not have her down as diabetic. So much more I don’t recommend this place to any one!!

We decided on Point Lookout Nursing & Rehab for my wife. The facility is beautiful, they have a three lock-down stage for Alzheimer's, there's a wheelchair phase where they can move around, and there's the nursing home style for old-timers. It's well-staffed, two doctors, four RNs, four LPNs, and recognized by a lot of different organizations as a qualified nursing home. The rooms are either shared or private depending on her conditions. The shared rooms are very nice, there are two people in a room, and they're spacious. There's a large dining room, and different programs all week long. They have Bingo, singing, and church services. It's very casual, family-style entertainment. They have lounge areas for visiting families, they are in a pod, and the residents can bring families in and use these pods. The decorations are nice and there are pictures on the wall. The place is immaculate, the cleaning staff is cleaning all the time, and it's an older building, but very well kept. The food is excellent. In fact, I buy some of my dinners there. They only charge $4 if I eat there, and I can eat with her anytime I want.

I was satisfied with Point Lookout, and I think they tried to do a very good job. I think they tried hard, and they had some pretty good nurses. They also have rehab there. We had a puzzle club, and we put together puzzles. They have more than one home, so they rotate their staff.

My mother had dementia. She went home to heaven Jan 20, 2015. She was well cared for and well loved by this amazing staff. She was content. Wayne is excellent administrator. Staff came from all over the complex to pray, say good bye, hug on family members during her final hours. Thank you and God bless you all.

PLO is the best place in Taney County to seek rehab for a loved one. My dad spent 2 weeks there & the staff were brilliant, caring & attentive. There is a true team approach and they kept me updated on his progress. I highly recommend this facility for yourself or a loved one.

My father was a dementia resident until his passing friday. While dad was there Wayne took over as administrator. I saw his servant's heart reflected in the staff that took care of my dad. Thank you pt. Lookout.

I would never recommend this facility to anyone that cares about there family member. Things are constantly taken from the rooms and when you ask them about it they just blow you off. The standard of care is poor, they don't have enough help for the patience load.
