My mom moved to Solstice Senior Living at Columbia. She just loves it. The amenities are very helpful, and handy, and she feels like they're borderline luxurious. She's glad that the sizes are the right size. She's also in love with the food. Whoever they have for a chef, it's really good. I had eaten with mom a couple of times, and the food was good. The staff is nice. They seemed like nice, happy people, nobody's grumpy, and everybody's happy. The decor and interior design are very updated and current, it smells good. The outside grounds are well-apportioned with flowers and bushes. The lady that managed there was doting on both of us, explaining everything to me and her. She didn't feel intimidated or barked at. She felt that the person was very kind and took her time, friendly, positive, and happy. I'm impressed. My mom has more of a studio-style apartment.

Solstice Senior Living at Columbia was fine. I would love to be there. It was a very nice place. It's very clean, but the rent or lease is going up by the end of the year. I've got the money, but I don't want to be left with nothing. If I want to go on a trip, I still want to be able to go. It's too much money. The woman who toured me was very fine. Her name was Mary and she was very good. The thing that bothers me is that I'm 80 years old and I still have most of my marbles and old people oftentimes don't speak directly to you, but to the person maybe that is with you. That would be the only thing. I told Mary in a very nice way and she understood. She was very, very nice. She has called me and I've called her with more questions. I'm still on the list and I haven't said no yet. We went through a one-bedroom apartment and then the studio. I saw the library, the laundry, and the big amenities. They were very fine.

My mom moved into Solstice Senior Living at Columbia. Everybody is very nice and helpful. The facility is very clean. They're in the process of remodeling it, and it's almost finished. My mom's apartment got completely renovated before she moved in, so that was nice. They have movie nights, church service, arts and crafts., gardening, and pretty much a club for anything. They have a salon on site as well. There's a lake, and apparently, people like to fish in it. They have a rehab inpatient there.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Columbia, and it was not good at all. It badly needed revamping on the inside. The carpet needed to be replaced. It would not be a place that I would want to stay. We just went in, toured the hallway, went up the elevator, and went to a room. Like I said, it wasn't fit to live in. The staff who assisted me was friendly, though.

We have moved into Solstice Senior Living at Columbia. It's very friendly. The accommodations seem to be very homey and friendly. The staff was very helpful in our move, and the residents are friendly. You're able to speak with them and they speak back. We have a two-bedroom-two-bath apartment. We're on the second floor. Our living room overlooks the lake, and we have trees around us. We have a little balcony where you can put your plants. It's like living in our own home. It's very comfortable. All the appliances are furnished. When I talk about appliances, it's the refrigerator. We don't have a stove because we eat in the dining room. The food has been very good. Unfortunately, because of their inability to hire people to work, puts a lot of stress on our servers because they are shorthanded. They do as good a job as anybody can do in their situation. Their salads are always fresh, the drinks are refreshing, and we've had good meals. The staff is tremendous. Our apartment was freshly painted. They put down wood floors in the living room and the eating area, new rugs in the bedrooms, and the bathrooms also have wood floors. It's very easy to clean. They've done a very good job of keeping the floors swept and cleaned. The furniture in the hallways and things like that are dusted. I don't see any dust on them, and I don't see any debris on the baseboards. It seems to me like they're doing a good job, and the laundry rooms are clean. You can go in and do your laundry. They have a salon and a barbershop. They have physical therapy, an exercise room, and areas where you can work on puzzles or play chess or dominoes, or checkers. They have a library. The lake is open to fishing. You can go out and go fishing. It's fish and release, but it does give people the opportunity to do that.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Columbia and it was a very good experience. It just didn't meet my dad's needs. Everything that he would have needed would have cost extra. It was very clean, and the staff seemed nice. But it was more for people that were more independent than my father. We looked at a 1-bedroom and a studio. The outdoor space was very nice. They had a lake and lots of patios and things for people to go outside. It was clean, well-kept, and nice. They were willing to put him in there, but he needed round-the-clock care, and we would have had to pay extra for every little thing. I don't have anything against it, but it just wasn't adequate for his needs.

Solstice Senior Living at Columbia was a very nice facility. I like them. If my mother would be more willing to move, that's probably where I would move her. It's an independent living, but they have an ala carte option. There are options for medical assistance, housekeeping, and laundry if needed. They have restaurant style dining. There are servers and waiters, so it's very much catered to the residents. There are food options like a menu, but staff is there to assist each table. The staff members were very professional, kind, and caring individuals.

When I walked into Solstice Senior Living at Columbia, it looked upscale. It's nice. They do a little bit of light housekeeping for you, and they provide your meals. The lady that showed me around was excellent. She's very kind, very polite, and had all the answers to my questions. The facilities were very good. The least priced apartment that she showed me was small, but the carpeting was very, very plush and they were still nice units. The price was just too much for me. I couldn't afford it.

We thought that the Solstice Senior Living at Columbia was good. It's right in a medical district where a lot of my friends' physicians are very close to that. It was older and they're about to go through a major renovation and they said they're going to be doing all new carpeting and paint and furniture throughout. So they are going to be doing a lot of updating. The amenities were good, except they did not have indoor swimming as the other place did. The person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help us with everything. It's older and it shows its age, but they are defying that with the renovations. When we were there, they had someone doing live music that they brought in, and we saw their activities. There were all kinds of things, like cooking classes, to keep people busy.

I was not impressed at all with Solstice Senior Living at Columbia. They need to do a lot of updating. Like the rugs in the hallways and so on looked like they need to be replaced. The rooms themselves are roomy, and they do have balconies. Something I liked there was the amount of room for your closet. Their activities are very much like the other facility. I didn't find it a very cheerful place; it seemed very solemn over there. Now people did say hello, I do remember that which was nice as you were walking through. It just didn't feel homey to me.

I went to Solstice Senior Living at Columbia, and I liked the staffing, the location, and the cleanliness of the place. They had buses to transport them back for their doctors appointments, so it felt like you could leave your loved one there and not have to worry. It is just one of those places. The staff was helpful. I talked to the residents, and they loved it there. We sat down and just chatted with them. They told me that it was the only place to be. They felt like they were really cared for, and they have everything they needed. They just seemed to be very well pleased with it. The apartments were roomy. They had a studio, a one-bedroom, and two-bedroom. All of them were nice. The facility was clean, and it's in a very safe neighborhood. You have doctors, and the children's hospital right down the road. You have access to the ambulance and everything for emergencies. I just love the location. It was in a beautiful part of Columbia.

We went to Solstice Senior Living. The people there were very nice and they're very helpful with questions, too. The building itself was very nice and very well kept. The apartments were very different, so that was a plus. We only met two staff members and they were very pleasant and very helpful with questions. The facility was very beautiful. It is in a good location because it's close to my mom's doctors, a hospital, and a whole range of other doctors, too.

I moved into Solstice Senior Living at Columbia. I've been here a couple of weeks now. There are things I would like to see better, but by and large, it's a very nice place. Each of the rooms has a balcony of some sort, and there is a lake in the back, it has a very nice duck pond. It's a pleasant-looking place; they have a lot of new people that they're training. Compared to a lot of places around, it's pretty reasonable. The reason I chose it is because it's independent, but I need a little more support system than just being in my apartment. And here, there's a home-health nurse that can help me out do some things, and the staff do some things for me as far as getting the room ready and everything. The apartment I got is a very large 1-bedroom; I get three meals, laundry, and housekeeping. They put new carpet and new paint in the room before I move in, and new blinds. They've treated me pretty well. The food kinda depends on the day, and I was disappointed one day they just served Hamburger Helper, which for the price I was paying, seemed a little bit below par. Some days it's really good, some days it's pretty bad. There's also physical therapy available in the building.

My mom is a resident of Solstice Senior Living. We chose it because it was nearby and the price was right. Also, they offered us a rebate. She has a studio room and receives nursing services. Her room is very nice. I have tasted the food. It is not her style of food, but it is good. The activities have been suspended until the end of month. The living atmosphere is very good. Everything has been good. The staff is really good. The food is also fine. However, because of COVID-19, the food is delivered to their room and they don't have as many options as they would if they were going to the dining room. The place is nice.

Solstice Senior Living at Columbia was very nice. It's independent living and I would've taken my mother there, but she wasn't a candidate for independent living at that time. Even though it's a fairly large facility, it had a nice homey feel to it. I saw the menus, how things were being prepared, and how they were taking care of things, and I was incredibly impressed with them. The staff I met was all first-grade. They had in-house activities and a bus takes them to pretty much anything they would like to go to. They had a very nice outside area in the back overlooking a very nice little pond. They even had boating and swimming there. The facilities were great.

I chose Solstice Senior Living at Columbia because of the location, it's close to the VA hospital which is where my friend gets all his care. The staff is very friendly and seemed to be very good. His apartment is just a studio but it's nice, roomy, and has everything he needs. There aren't really different levels of care there, but there are different services you can request. So he can request for things like laundry assistance and stuff like that, but he's still able to maintain himself for the most part. The dining area is very nice and the food seems to be very good, we were there for lunch once. They have a movie area or they can play different games like bingo. They have activities there, and they have a lake with a dock outside where they can fish if they like, there are pool tables and an exercise room.

I was very impressed with Solstice Senior Living. But as I recall, they only provide 1 meal a day, that's the only negative about them. Their rooms were outstanding and I was also very impressed with those. They had a very nice dining area. I'm a veteran, and it's a little out of my price range so I applied for VA assistance but I didn't receive assistance, so that's one reason why I didn't move in. This community is in a class by itself.

I'm living at Solstice Senior Living at Columbia. Right now the food could use a lot of improvement. For example, we're supposed to be down there before 8:00 for breakfast, but tjis morning we weren't served until 9:00. I don't know what happened, but a lot of people were discouraged. They also have a lot of people who don't show up on Saturdays, so they fix their food and take it to the rooms before they serve the dining room, and I feel like the dining room should be fed first. There are several activities available like yoga, there's a TV, exercises, bingo, walking, and trips to the mall, so they have a number of things. The staff has been very cordial. There's a chapel, exercise equipment, and a movie theater.

I didn't find the food particularly good at Solstice Senior Living at Columbia. I asked what time is lunch and they said they sit down at 12:15 and eat at 12:30. I got there about 12:15 and I was very hungry. It was a good 45 minutes after 12:30 before I got anything to eat. I didn't find the food to be all that good. The two-bedroom apartment was less expensive than most of the one-bedrooms I had seen. It was in its own building that opened onto the sidewalk that ran back and forth. It had another opening from one of the bedrooms that went out into a little alcove with plenty of shade trees. I would have been hooked right there if it hadn't been for the food. I liked the apartment very much. It was very spacious and had two bedrooms and that would have been a plus especially given that it was less expensive than some of the one bedrooms I had seen.

The apartments were very nice. We saw some people doing activities. The residents I saw playing dominos seemed content. It was very clean. If my father-in-law had wanted to move, we would've made the move. It had some rundown areas, but otherwise it looked pleasant.

If I were to go somewhere, I would go here. It was wonderful and more like a community. It didn’t smell bad. The rooms were spacious, very nice, and comfortable. It was easy to access.

It was pretty good. It was strictly one-bedroom or a two-bedroom apartments. It had a very nice setting and was very close to doctors. It's on a busy street they call "doctor's row." I was concerned about the noise when I need to open my windows. We saw some lovely, affordable apartments with a lovely view of a big pond with a fountain, but there weren't any washers and dryers in the apartments, so you had to go down the hall.

I visited two or three rooms that they had available. One was a single bedroom with a living room and bedroom and a microwave but no oven in the kitchen. They had exercise rooms and different activities. The staff was very nice.

I find it very pleasant. They serve three meals a day. They have very nice people. The only drawback for me is that the women outnumber the men and that they are older and a little more disabled. My apartment is elegant. I have two bedrooms, a living room, a dining area, and multiple closets. It is very nice. The food is quite good.

It is a huge facility. It was in a good location, close to the hospital. They have all the amenities. The staff were wonderful and interactive with residents. I had a meal and the people I was sitting with just feel appreciative of the staff. The food also was fine. However, when I was shown one of the apartments, there was a smell of smoke. I have asthma and this is a major thing to me. I haven't been back there since.
