They have terrible food, lots of staff are not caring, and they over medicate patients

My father was in this facility. He was left alone, the employees didn't answer the phone at all. When my mother asked questions, the head nurse didn't get back to her. He was not given enough to drink. He was filthy. One bath in 5 weeks. When he arrived home and the home care nurses saw him, they were appalled! I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Not adequate care. People left in urine and feces for hours. Food horrendous. Burnt, cold, inedible. Phone doesn't get answered half the time at night. Rooms are small and dangerous to get around in. Activities mainly consist of super sugary foods. If there are activities at all. Parking is ridiculous. Spouse of resident is handicapped and when I took him to see her. We had to park at the very end of the driveway. Which is actually the entrance. Staff and construction took up all parking. Department heads always behind closed doors. No one was very well knowledgeable about anything.

We went to Sheperd of the Hills (Golden Livingcenter), and they're bad news. I wouldn't recommend them to my dog. She was there for less than a month. The facility was very plain, very drab, and depressing. The service was very bad, irritating, and alarming. The dining area was far, and the food was absolutely terrible. It's not a well-managed home. Most of the staff were amateurs. I questioned a couple of girls there and they had only been there for two weeks. One of them didn't have any training, but she's doing services that require training. They had some well-qualified RNs, but they were overworked, and they did not have an RN at night. I was very unhappy with them.
