My dad is currently staying in Golden Livingcenter - Mcdonald County. I've never even been inside the facility because of COVID. I've only dropped him off, and then he came outside and I met him in the lobby; that was it. He is an Alzheimer's patient. He's content, and he's never asked to leave. He does like the fact that the staff is good to him. You know, that's important to him. He has said that. He said the food is good, so he does like that. They've done a lot medically in changing his meds. The staff has been nice. They would know my father by name when I was coming to visit him. That's important too because obviously they're taking time to get to know him. The staff does call me if there's any issues, like when Covid was happening. If anybody got an infection (whether it was staff or patient), they would always call me. They would tell me that somebody tested positive. They would always call and tell me if my father fell or if he had any issues. So they've been pretty good about calling me and keeping me notified of things, especially since we couldn't go there.

McDonald County Living Center is close and clean. They have three meals a day, and the staff is very friendly but strict enough to make my mom do her exercise. They take her to doctors' appointments and have rehab, long-term, and an Alzheimer's unit. They could use more staff.

Dirty, dark, dingy, depressing. Needs updating, painting, cleaning.

The staff were very knowledgable of the disease and knew how to talk with the people who lived there and it was obvious that they respected them
