I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I am thoroughly appalled that this facility is even operational. My loved one was sent there for care and did nothing but decline horribly, to the point where they have now been admitted back into ICU for illnesses caused by sheer negligence. I have been in the Healthcare field for years, and I have never ever seen such negligence from a facility. They are completely understaffed, and no one seems to know their respective job or roles when caring for patients. In fact, they do little to nothing at all to care for the patients. They all pass the buck and nothing gets done. They leave filth, needle sticks, dirty gloves all over the floor and under the bed. They never even bathed my loved one in the almost 2 weeks they were there, causing all kinds of infection, and leading to a near death diagnosis. I can't say anything good about this facility and that literally breaks my heart. Please find somewhere else for your loved ones, where they will be cared for properly. Be their advocate and voice! We can't allow this to go on!

I visited this facility

Transferring my husband to Singing River Health and Rehabilitation for hospice care was the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. However, at the same time, the best decision. When we arrived, the manager Jason greeted us. His pleasant and professional demeanor put me at ease right away. Sheila in admitting made the paperwork painless, which at a time like this is extremely important. All of the nurses and staff were efficient, friendly, and provided excellent care. I couldn’t have asked for more. I am also thankful that my daughter-in-law Janette, a manager there, recommended that I bring him to this facility. She was also a great comfort to me, It makes the memory of my husband‘s last daus easier for my whole family. I would highly recommend this place to any family on the coast for a long-term or hospice care.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We used Singing River Rehab for my mom. They did a very good job. They took very good care of her. She was there for three months off and on. It was good and clean. The nursing staff and the aides were excellent. The administration staff was good. She was not able to go to the cafeteria, and they let her eat in her room. She was very picky with what she ate. She could eat any type of milk product, and they accommodated her there. They didn't put butter on her pan cake, her biscuit, or her roll. Anything that she said that she didn't like or couldn't eat or didn't want to eat, they were very good about accommodating her. They had a full calendar of activities for the people who were able to do it. They had bingo. They had transportation that took them out to shopping, and they also provided transportation to take her to her doctor's appointments. She had her own private room, and they kept it clean. They cleaned it every day. It was very homey. Every time I walked in, they welcomed me at the door. They said hello every time we came in and every time we started to leave they told us to have a good day. As far as her room, it was not as well as a hotel room, but it was as good as a normal room. I would recommend them to others. Their best features were their accommodations for their patients or their residents and their staff doing the best they could to take care of their patients.
