All I can say is that if this nursing home rates mid or higher than most in Mississippi, this is sad. My mother was there for 10 months. Her room was always filthy. Floors, walls, baseboards. Her bed was always full of crumbs and used-up sheets. The floor was mopped with something that stuck to my sandals so bad I could hardly keep them on when visiting her. The food was awful. She was not encouraged to get out of her bed daily and go to the dining room. She was left and left and left. Until a family member went and encouraged her. She even had one LPN that grabbed her by the seat of the pants, drug her back to her room and told her meanly to get her walker. My Mother had a name for her, and I agree. No way to treat an elderly person. Luckily, my Mother died and didn't have to live here anymore. God forgive me for putting her there and trusting the people who are supposed to devote their life to caring for others. This is not what I saw.
