I visited a friend and I was impressed with the kind caring staff. The facility was clean and nicely decorated. My friends room was just the way she wants it. It is nice they allow the residents to feel comfortable in their own space. My friend was playing bingo and there were several residents involved. I really enjoyed my visit and plan to go again on my way through town. I did not eat there however my friend was not complaining about the food.

I went to Edgewood Vista - Virginia. I like that they do respite care, and that's what I'm looking for right now. It's fairly new. It's very large. They have a lot of activities. They have music, church, they do outings, and they take people shopping or up to the casino or different things like that. I didn't spend much time with the staff, but I've had a past history with them. The staff during the tour was good.

Edgewood’s Memory care unit is dirty, the residents are unkempt and completely ignored. The few staff they have are unqualified, uncaring, and have no regard for residents. I wouldn’t even kennel a dog here Horrible - do not let them neglect your loved one and make a very difficult time for them and their family even more stressful and difficult. There is absolutely no caring of professionalism here - the only concern is grabbing the check every month. Your loved one will not be cared for here. The rooms are dirty rarely cleaned. Everytime I have been there rooms and common areas have feces and urine visible with no clean up occurring. Staff is mostly unavailable to family and residents they congregate behind closed door areas avoiding residents. There is always a board up listing activities to take place never seen one happen Residents have no stimulation or activities. There are no amenities.

Unfortunately we have a loved here-They are mostly ignored-there is no interaction of activities for memory care. The staff is basically invisible and reluctantly react if you ask for assistance-that is if you can find anyone. My parent is usually inappropriately dressed-we pay a large fee for assistance with dressing-yet when asked about it staff ALWAYS blames the patient. Every time I have been there rooms are not clean or well kept I am very distressed about safety and care but all of these facilities are about the same-terrible and no one cares-you begin a whole new process of being horrified when you enter this system at how bad it is

Residents seem to be basically ignored-dressed inappropriately, groups of employees stand together and talk dont talk to residents or even acknowledge them Rooms are dirty not well kept have found the standard is unmade beds, dirty laundry in piles on floor, bathrooms not clean, residents not supplied with their daily equipment to function-glasses, hearing aids, canes, teeth-staff blames residents for losing these items and have no urgency or feel no need to supply them with their equipment they need for daily living staff more than content to allow them to struggle to see, hear, eat or walk with out their proper appliances-they charge more money but your loved ones arent getting any better care here than any where else

My wife was at Edgewood Vista. They were very short-handed. Some people were very good, but other people were pretty poor. Cleanliness seemed good. The main part of the building was quite clean, but my wife’s room wasn’t well attended. Also, the food was not the best. It’s a big corporation, and they’re more interested in money than they are with people. The people that was in charge was quite good, but he is going by what the corporate ofice tells him to do.

We know about Edgewood Vista. They have independent, assisted living, memory care, and nursing home facility all within their little block of buildings there. We placed a personal friend into this facility. She had a one-bedroom unit. Edgewood's food was decent. It wasn't bad. She never complained about that while she was there. They had a host of activities. There were games during the day and some crafts activities. Every Friday was happy hour where they served root beers, some of the residents had a glass of wine or a beer, and all the families were invited to come in and visit at that time. They usually had live music playing. My friend was in an assisted living apartment, and I think the staff there was pretty good. They moved her to a memory care, and I was very dissatisfied there.

The staff is very friendly and the place is clean...it's nice becasue there are wings of spcialized needds and cares. The Paitent level is also very small so that way each patient gets 100% quailty care......
