Sleepy Eye Care Center's staff was incredibly rude. Did not seem to care about the health of their residents one bit. My grandma had a disease called C-Diff, which is highly contagious. They told her she would have a private room because of this, yet she ended up with a roommate. The nurses and Aides wouldnt change gloves before touching other residents or food. They never cleaned my grandmothers feeding tube, which caused more infections. Inevitably due to their lack of concern for the residents health, my grandmothers roommate contracted the C-Diff disease and died from it. The center itself is a beautiful place. I was impressed with the upkeep of the building. They have many fish tanks and live plants that bring life to the inside of the building. They do have an assisted living facility, but I never entered the apartments, only the nursing home. However, it looked like a nice place to live. The whole thing is in a fairly quiet area in a very small town. Very nice location. Overall, it was nice on the outside, but the care for residents was horrid inside the nursing home.
