My mother-in-law moved into CentraCare - Chateau Waters. Every resident we spoke to was super nice and friendly. The staff that we've met has been extremely helpful. I really like the spaciousness of the rooms that my mother-in-law has. The deck is very nice. The food is outstanding, with lots of different choices that they get to have for eating, so it's just been a good overall experience at this time. The facility is very clean. They have a bingo day. They have a movie theater on the premises. The residents get together on their own, but there's usually at least one outing every two weeks for them to go different places. They have a craft room and a card game. They have a beautiful patio, and we actually just had a family picnic there.

Chateau Waters was very nice. It's clean, homey, and nicely decorated. Everybody seems very friendly. The person who accommodated me was very nice. She showed us all around and answered our questions. The apartments were very nice also. The food looked good and the menu sounded good. I think it's a little more expensive than some of the others I looked at for meals and rent, but it's very nice. They have a lot of things available. They have a bus where they take you shopping or to the grocery store in groups. They offer crafts and card playing. They would take you once in a while to a play or a movie theater, too, although they have their own movie theater on the premises.

I have visited CentraCare - Chateau Waters. It's very clean and it seemed like they had a lot of activities for the residents. I'm leaning more towards them but there's a waiting list there. They had a handicapped one open but my dad is fairly tall for it. The problem we have now is getting the home care people up into his apartment. Chateau has the concierge that would let them in. I think you didn't have to make a meal plan there but it came with 10 meals a month or something. They had a place where you could stay overnight if you wanted to. They had a guest room that you could use. If you're out of town and you're coming for a couple of days, you could stay there. They recommend you to pay 25 dollars a night for the first two nights and I think it was $50 for the third night. I also asked if they had a room for if we had a birthday party or something and they did. I saw some cleaning people but I didn't see a whole lot of staff there. The apartment has a room, a small living room, a kitchen and the kitchen has a counter. He likes sitting on the counter with a higher bar stool because he's tall but they didn't have that overhang on the counter. When we asked if they had anything that you could put a chair underneath, the staff said they didn't have that. She said what the people have done was take a counter height table and push it up to the corner. She also said that a couple of the residents had the granite taken out and replaced but they had to pay for it themselves.
