When we were looking for help with our mom who had Alzheimer's, we knew we had found the best Rochester had to offer at the The Waters on Mayowood! The high ceilings and beautiful rooms/community areas didn't make you feel like you were in a nursing home. Fireplaces, pool table, exercise room, 2 kitchens, etc were all in great shape! The staff took the time to learn what mom's like/dislikes were and made every effort to support her independence. The food was chef prepared and she could select what she wanted from tasty choices! The pet therapy, music therapy, massage therapy, field trips, guest musicians, and twice a day activity always gave her something to look forward to. Everyone she interacted with during her 4 years in the Specialty Care unit were caring, competent, and loved on her. They were just the best! Let me save you the time and hassle of touring multiple memory care places. If you want the best for your loved one, don't look any further than The Waters on Mayowood in Rochester!

My mom has been in The Waters on Mayowood for a few months now. Her experience has been great, and it's a wonderful community. Her room is pretty typical for that level of care. The maintenance is great. They do a good job in there. My mom enjoys the food. The dining area is great. They have two dining options. She has chosen the one where at the beginning of the week, she picks off of a menu rather than a restaurant style. From what she's had, she's enjoyed it immensely. They have plenty of activities. They have group activities, such as music. They have bingo, and they have outings. They have a nice array of activities. The staff is wonderful.

We chose The Waters on Mayowood for my in-laws, but they haven't moved in yet. It was very clean, they have responsive staff, and they have specialized care services that are suited for my father-in-law. The apartment is relatively brand new, so it was very nice. There was a small library, but a lot of things were closed because of COVID. They had very nice outdoor gardens.

I visited the Waters on Mayowood, its a lovely place, and if I had the money, I would go there. The rooms were nice, and everybody that lived there was very happy. The staff was pretty informative. They have many activities for the residents, they provide transportation, they have rooms to play cards, games, and stuff in the facility, so they pretty much provide for a well-rounded life.

been living here for awhile. Was just notified of a substantial rent increase which accompanies ongoing reduction of services, such as included originally included bus shuttle transportation. Restaurant meals have swiftly increased the past year, and they have yet to include a small salad with any meal. If you like a $9.00 burger ($10 if you want some onion) Cheap 70% lean hb is used. Small portions generally and not typical home meals the former farmers expect. The free shuttle now costs at least $15 per trip except for a few runs to Mayo clinic. Management doe not relate to residents. and continually succeeds in angering the workers. Promised improvements (necessary corrections) are not addressed or even recognized.

The Waters was brand new and beautiful and more like independent living. As soon as you walk in, there's a main front desk area that was actually a square, so it was like a hub of activity with people coming and going, busy with a lot of active seniors. It was very modern. All of the colors were very enticing. They had a spectacular dining room with a deck that overlooked some beautiful wooded area. Their rooms were gorgeous. As a resident, you could put in your own package. Their base rate was only for the rent. If you wanted to take meals, you would have to add them on. They had a shuttle bus.
