The grounds outside the facility appeared in good shape. Nice and clean. The grass was cut and the sidewalks were free of cracks and grass which made it easier for the elderly to propel their wheelchairs around the grounds. The staff were nice, but not very attentive. The workers seemed to be more interested in speaking to other non-elderly instead of addressing clients. The staff appeared clean and well kept. Some of the elderly residents needed personal needs assistance. One elderly person was soiled when we arrived and was soiled an hour later when we left. Some of the other residents were engaging in card games or puzzles and seemed quite happy. The facility itself appeared run down and had a foul odor. The walls certainly could use a good painting. The cafeteria area was pleasant and clean. The eating utensils appeared clean as well. The residents appeared to be well cared for physically, but some of them seemed unhappy. this could be due to their diagnosis.I would say that the overall experience was pleasant.

My grandmother was a resident of this facility and I feel that they took very good care of her during her stay there. The staff was very kind and always gave us updates when we asked for them regarding her cares, medications on, how she was doing mentally and physically at the nursing home. The staff always went out of their way to say hi to the family as well, and we got to know them over the course of the years with visiting her from time to time. They would always make sure that her depends was dry, and also would make sure she was able to lay down during the day to rest. The only thing I would say that they need to change is they do need to make sure they wear gloves when changing the residents in order to avoid cross contamination. Otherwise, I do feel that this is a good facility in the immediate area for care of your loved ones.
