The room was cleaned 1 time after was there for 2 weeks. The food was cold and warm milk. They were often late with medications. When I tried to sleep the halls were noisy and when I wanted to leave, they threw away my medications. I had to call my doctor to replace them.

The care that my mom is getting in Birchwood transitional care is fantastic. The nurses and nurses' aide have all been wonderful. The occupational and physical therapists have been excellent in dealing with my mother. Anytime I call them, they would return my call or they would let me talk to the nurse right away to ask questions about how my mom is doing. The best thing I like about it are the caring people. It's like a big family. They have an activities person just checking in on people and when there are activities, they invite people. It's just a place that I wouldn't mind staying myself someday. Aesthetically, it's not the nicest place but you are able to look beyond that because of the excellent care.

They are so understaffed, when my mother was brought in for re-habilitation. Cold food, did not wash hands, Would not come when using the buzzer for help. My mother contacted c-diff and she still has it after 2 months of being home. we demanded her release as her sons and daughters took turn in staying with her. They did not contact the room mate that c-diff was in the room and rooms next to them. and they still did not wash their hands at every time to aid e=them. Horrible place
