My mom has lived at Orchard Creek Assisted Living for four years. She is very happy there. We were able to make her small apartment look similar to the home she left. Her unit has a deck and a view of the creek. Are they perfect? No. They are pretty darned good. Staff is friendly, caring, helpful and more. When mom is fine, it is all routine. When she is ill or in need she has continuous care. Staff is very good to contact me if they feel anything is worrisome. The food is fine. She rarely complains. She is treated with respect.

On July 26, 2022 I flew from Texas to Traverse City , Mi. for a family memorial .Two days later I ended up being admitted to Munson Medical Center with Covid -19. After weeks of life saving intensive care , I as transferred to Orchard Creek for the necessary rehab to allow me to travel back home to Texas. My care plan included customized therapy to physically and mentally regain my strength . My room was private , spacious and cleaned daily. The staff accommodated my every need. They took the time to explain my status ,always encouraging me. Each shift had personal contact with me viva among the following ; CNA , DON, NP, Pharmacy, Activities Director and even Housekeeping. I always felt the compassion of the staff as it was obvious 24\7 . From doing my laundry , serving late night snacks to escorting me on outdoor fresh air walks. Bingo, games on the patio porch , and group activities were appreciated by us all. Sunshine brought out smiles that lightened our hearts. Pedicures, Salon style hair care and massages to calming music had residents waiting their turn . I recommend Orchard Creek Senior Living and Health Care 100% . As a past resident who lived there for over 30 days. The food was delicious, unlimited amounts, hot and served cheerfully .The amenities are real and the care is honest........Thank You Orchard Creek .God Bless Y'all !!!!

My father is in Orchard Creek Senior Living and Health Care. He was in assisted living and then he ended up in the rehab center (right next door), which is wonderful because they could just take him next door. He's now finished with rehab and he will go back to his regular room. They have good staff. We like the people. Each wing is quite small, so they're able to care for their patients more easily than if it were a huge facility. However, my dad ended up sitting in the ER for 14-15 hours and they sent him to the hospital, and they never called any of his daughters, so that part I didn't like. On the whole, they're pretty good. When I was there helping, the staff was very helpful and very kind. He loves the food; he said it's good. They just don't have enough help to keep the facility the way it really should be. He loves the activities. There are lots of card games, and bingo, but not too many outdoor things yet, but hopefully, that will change. They are not allowed to have appliances for safety reasons.

We toured the dementia ward at Orchard Creek Senior Living and Health Care. My mom would have been in a room with a little divider and a bed on one side and her so-called living area on the other. It had a private bathroom. We were there at lunchtime and they had everyone herded into their dining room. They were elbow to elbow and it was very uncomfortable looking. It was not good. I just was heartsick when I left there for the people that were there. It left a lasting impression on my husband and myself, a bad impression. I only met one gal. She had shown us the room, trying to get us to rent it for my mother. She wanted to get it occupied. She said it was one of the better rooms because it had a view of trees outside the one window. She walked us down this long hallway to this room. The room that mother would have had was being renovated somehow, I guess they were painting it or something. She just showed us the room and it had a divider in the middle where you would have put the television on, but you could see over it the bedroom and the living room. That's how they divided it up. They were having hot dogs and potato chips when we were there. Hotdogs are not conducive to people with dementia when they're swallowing, in my experience.

We placed grandma in Orchard Creek. It's fine, they have everything she needs, and she's happy there. They do all the meals, she has to go down to the dining room, and they take her down. They take snacks to her. We've been very happy with their services. They take her for walks in the community, she watches the birds, and she can sit in her patio if she wants. They do her laundry, they have a hair salon service, and they do housekeeping. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and do everything she asks. A doctor and nurse practitioner check on her.

Orchard Creek was quite large with a lot more people in it than any of the others that I’ve visited. It was a nice place.

I would give Orchard Creek a 4, just because it was a bit older. It wasn't quite as well kept. It looked a little more worn. The residents seemed very happy. They seemed to like it a lot. The staff seemed to interact a lot with them and know them well. They seemed to talk to the residents, and know the residents, so that was a nice aspect of it. The rooms were very small but adequate. The menu was more limited there.

The Office Manager for the facility that I corresponded and met with was very professional, warm and pleasant to work with. She emailed me promptly when I first inquired about the facility with answers to my questions, additional information on the facility and a request to set up a time to visit that worked with my schedule. At my visit of the facility, she walked me through the entire facility showing me all the different types of rooms available, had me meet some of the residents & staff, explained the various activities and extra outings they provided to the residence to keep them busy & active, the type of care they provided to residents and what they needed to considered with a residence's mental state and mobility in order to live in this assisted living residency. She also explained their adjacent nursing home facility should that be needed if my grandpa no longer met the requirements to live in their assisted living facility. The facility was bright, clean, modern, pleasant and welcoming. The residents appeared to be extremely happy and the staff interacted very well with the residents during my visit. If asked, I would definitely recommend this to others looking for an assisted living facility for a family member. The only two things that were discouraging was the cost, as well as the size. I felt that this facility may be too large for my Grandpa to ever feel comfortable and at home to live out his remaining days now without Grandma. I just don't believe he would be happy in a facility that felt more like a dormitory than a home.

My experiences with the facility were for the most part very good. The staff was, for the most part, attentive, highly skilled, and performed their tasks well. I was especially pleased that the staff seemed to take individual care with my uncle. They didn't rush things, and he was happy with the care he was receiving. He never had any injuries, bedsores, or he never had to sit in a soiled diaper for long periods of time. The thing I was most pleased with was that he was happy, their service quickly put any doubts I had about the reputation of this business, in general, to rest. The other residents are very polite as well, and that welcomed my uncle with open arms. The establishment even allowed visits from my puppy. Once my uncle fell, and while he was fine, he was taken to the hospital, and I was called immediately. Nothing short of professionalism from this establishment. I recommend this establishment to anyone in the area who needs this particular service.

I visited this luxurious senior facility about a year ago when I was looking with my family for a place to put my mother when she was no longer able to carry out all of her daily activities. This is a great facility because it offers many different options for living situations. If you or your family member can still handle most or all of their activities, then they can be placed in senior apartments which offer little help from the staff. If they are a little worse off, then they will best be placed in the assisted living facility which is what we chose for the best option for my mother. She has loved it there. She says that she has so many great friends that she has met and is never bored. There are many activities that are offered there for her to enjoy such as: knitting, bingo, karaoke, and many other options. They are also open to ideas that any of the visitors or the residents may have about what else should be offered. My mother also says that the staff is very caring and genuinely cares about the well being of the residents and not just about getting paid. They ask about how the day is going for the resident and are there if they just want to talk to someone. I feel very comfortable and confident with my mother being at Orchard Creek because I know that the staff is very capable of taking care of my mother and that she is getting the best care possible.
