Huge thank you to StoryPoint - Kalamazoo. Since my mom moved in, in October 2023, we have seen that not all heroes wear capes. My mom was welcomed, with open arms, when she moved in. And she has been “home” ever since. When she fell and broke her hip, in early 2024, the StoryPoint folks were amazing and patiently and compassionately helped us navigate the situation. We were able to arrange for additional services and the transition home was seamless. The community is beautiful and the staff outstanding. We are so thankful to have found such an amazing community for my mom. She is happy and we are able to relax knowing that she is safe and cared for.

Storypoint of Kalamazoo has given my father an extraordinary living experience! From the first initial tour and highly detailed informative session, both he and I felt they were the perfect place for him to enjoy life. The apartments are spacious and immaculate, accompanied by plenty of windows for sunshine and coziness for Michigan winters! The food is highly recommended as I have dined with him several times. Waldorf salad, shrimp, and a pig roast on location?! I commend the entire kitchen/waitstaff as they put the resident’s needs priority. Whether it be dietary, mobility, seating preference, is met with kindness and accommodation. My father is enthralled with the social activities offered and I have found it trying to get him away for a daughter date night outside of Storypoint! Amidst the on-site daily activities, there have been bus outings arranged to numerous places. The director and event’s planner are all ears to the resident’s feedback and requests. Storypoint makes it feel like home to all. Both residents and their families. I am so grateful for them to ensuring the well being and safety of my father!

My mother has been a resident at Story Point/Bronson Place since 2007. She was very very active when she first arrived and continues being active to this day. Her needs have of coursed changed over the years, but Story Point has been able to accommodate with activities that meet these changes. The staff is outstanding and when she has needed personal care, Story Point could accommodate her needs with paid private duty services. My mother has always had a very special relationship with the front desk staff, the maintenance staff, the kitchen personnel, activities personnel, the housekeeping staff and administration. The Director of Story Point and staff care about the individual residents, making sure the residents feel heard and supported. As my sister and I have watched our mother age, we both feel that Mom has always been living in the best “home” for her, Story Point/Bronson Place. We also appreciate all the support we have received as our mother’s family over the years from management and the staff. Additionally, we are seeing many impressive physical changes of the facility, inside and outside happening over the past months

Everything so far that we have experienced with Story Point has been wonderful. When we needed help with my mom’s dog, staff helped. Now we are having more issues and everyone has been great. Giving wonderful experienced advice and just giving us time to figure things out. Our mother had met some great people that she now calls them friends. The facility sits on a great piece of property and is very inviting. I would totally recommend this Senior place of it fits for yourself or your parents.

My 99 year old mother has lived at StoryPoint for 16 years in her own apartment. After a pelvis break and rehab, she was able to return to her apartment because she was able to get assistance on a schedule that worked for her. Everyone is so accommodating, friendly, and eager to help. This help extends from the director who makes time to hear you, to the wonderful people at the front desk, to maintenance and cleaning services, and the staff in the dining room. My sister and I feel my mother is safe, which gives us peace of mind!

Very responsive staff! Emma gave me her mobile phone number and encouraged me to call or text anytime with questions. I really like the option to text and she always responded quickly. It made the process of finding a place for my dad so much smoother.

I toured StoryPoint Kalamazoo. I loved it. They showed me everything. I was able to talk to residents and families, so I got all points of view. The staff was wonderful, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. They had an activity going on and I witnessed it. They have a lot of outdoor space. They had a lot of flowers planted by the residents and a little vegetable garden for the residents.

We went to look at StoryPoint Kalamazoo. My daughter and I went together, and we just had a very nice visit. I liked the apartments, the friendliness of the staff, the layout of the building, and all of the amenities they have. I just liked it all. I was looking for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. We went into three different apartments, the game room, the auditorium, and several different places. They had a library, a dining room, and a craft room. The staff was very kind. He was very receptive to having us there. They were very helpful and friendly. They couldn't have been nicer. They were willing to be of assistance in any way they could. They come and do your housekeeping every other week. They wash your flat laundry every week.

StoryPoint Kalamazoo was topnotch. It was a beautiful facility. We saw a lot of the staff and I was impressed when we walked in the front door. The receptionist that we met right inside the front door had her nameplate there, and she had a job title that said "The Chaos Coordinator," which cracked me up and made me laugh. She's in charge of keeping everything under control. The facility was very nice. The rooms that we toured were very well laid out, and they were in the process of remodeling. So we saw one in a state of disrepair, and then one that was all finished. They had a really nice dining room, too. They have a fitness room with a full time fitness person on staff. The menu looked good.

My mother has moved into StoryPoint Kalamazoo. We just liked how it looked. It was bright and open, and the apartment was really cute and felt like a good atmosphere for my mom. The move-in was a little bit rough. I had to ask several times to get certain things done. The staff is very friendly and very nice. They offer a lot of activities if people choose to join in. It's very clean. The value for the money is good.

StoryPoint Kalamazoo was beautiful. The tour was fine. She did a great job walking us around. We got to meet a lot of the people that actually lived there, and the different rooms. It was very nice and very welcoming. The front desk people were excellent. They offered us coffee. We saw the different sizes of the rooms, the floors, the events area, and all kinds of things. The layout was very good. For someone that's just going on a tour, you could get lost very easily if you didn't have someone with you, but there were signs all over there on the wall telling you exactly which way to go and what to look for. She was a good guide. She showed us the cafe area and the full meal areas, and all kinds of areas. There were some amenities that they don't have, which we were looking for. There were a lot of residents out that time because they were having a book sale. They had their own library. We were there around lunchtime, and we met people at the small cafe. They were eating lunch and they had soup, a salad, and a main dish. It looked good and it smelled good, but they didn't invite us to eat there. They had a basement where you can park your car and that's where you also put your recyclables, and they do have garbage cans for all of that.

It was fabulous; the staff was helpful and friendly. The apartments were very nice. My parents liked the 2-bedroom, and it is nicely decorated with nice windows. It is a well-built facility, and they liked the indoor parking. They invited us to music night and cook out. When we toured there, it was summer, and it was beautiful. We did eat there a couple of times, and they have a chef that prepares the food. Beautiful facility.

We chose here because it was close by where she lived before and so she was still familiar with the area. They have all kinds of things that are going on. They have exercise class daily. Everyday there's something different that they can do that they post. They have wine tasting parties. If you want to learn how to do a new craft, they have people that will teach you like crocheting or knitting. You can plant in the garden if you want to. I really appreciate the fact that the staff are very friendly to me. My mom has a two-bedroom apartment and a small kitchen that she can cook her own meal if she wants to. I have eaten there and I really like the food. They had a lot of different things that you can choose from the menu.
