My parents were both placed at WA a couple years ago. My dad just passed two months ago. I cannot say enough positive about Woodland Acres. The staff is amazing. The facility is spotless. The meals are all home-cooked. The staff LOVES the residents and treats them with dignity and respect. They celebrate birthdays and all holidays, have church every week, have movie nights and game nights. My parents love (loved) being there and whenever I visit or call, they always tell me how wonderful the place is. The rooms are spacious and clean. The residents have daily exercise routines, help with the setting of tables and dinner prep (if able and desire to), have music times, outside visiting by various groups etc. And when the time came that my dad failed and passed, their care for him was beautiful. Some of the staff even came in on their day off to tell him (in tears) that they loved him and gave him a kiss goodbye. The staff brought several of the residents to the funeral. This place is a family.

I like Woodland Acres Assisted Living. Everybody was really pleasant. They let us walk and see all the rooms. They were eating lunch when we got there. I knew one of the residents there, so I got to interact with her a bit. It was a wonderful facility. The rooms were semi-private, they were large, there was room for a bed and a dresser, they could have their own TV, and there was a privacy wall between the two areas. They weren't little apartments, they were just rooms. They had community bathrooms where two or three residents could use the same bathroom. With the care, the cleanliness, and the staff, I would rate it a five. It's just that at the time my sister didn't want that kind of assistance and she didn't want a semi-private room. There was really nothing wrong with it though. The female residents were on one side of the building, and the males were on the other. Everything about it was top notch.

Woodland Acres was nice. It was a homey atmosphere. They provided some interactive games and exercise. You could get a private room, but it was mostly paired up. The staff seemed very nice. I thought people would like it. They even had church services there. The meals were home cooked. They had a quiet time where everybody turned off the TV and was quiet for a little while. They take small pets that were well mannered and house trained. They had them exercise a little bit each day and tried to keep them moving.

My mother lived at Woodland Acres for 3 years before she passed. I had been taking care of her in my home and Woodland Acres was a God-send! They helped me sort through the process and I had such relief knowing my mom was well taken care of. The staff are so caring and attentive to the residents! They have home cooked meals, activities, outings etc. It is a home like environment and it feels like a big family. I have a special place in my heart for Cheryl and Kathy and all the staff there! I am so thankful for the care my mother had while living there! Highly recommend!

Woodland Acres is dedicated to providing quality and home-like care to the elderly, which is what I was looking for, for my Grandma. They provide help with meds, laundry and living in general. They are a Christian based home, providing church services each week. The staff are all great with their clients and they really make it feel comfortable for everyone. There facility is nice, State approved and licensed. They provide activities for the people as well, celebrating the holidays, doing crafts and participating with gardening. They have maintained trails for the elderly to take golf cart rides and enjoy the outdoors. There's also a Barber/Beautician on site for the residents as well, wonderful thing to have at their disposal. All in all it was a great place and a wonderful option for my Grandma.

Woodland Acres Assisted Living was an average place for people to spend some of the hardest years of their lives. This is probably true of all assisted living centers but most of the patients had lost their spouses and friends and were "dropped off" by family members. A few of the old folks still had their wits about them and they could really paint a picture of what it was like to live there. One gentleman who had served in the military since he was 18 was particularly witty for an old man. He had an amazing outlook on life. He was happy to be in the center because he was still able-bodied enough to help out the other guests. Some of the guests who couldn't walk were obviously not as happy, but their outlook would have remained the same wherever they were. Their moods and energy would change with the weather and with what kind of food they were having! It almost was like being in grade school again and being excited for pizza day. The staff was actively trying to improve the guests mood. The only real negative about the facility was the location. There isn't a lot of space for them to just walk around outside.

I have had first hand experience at Woodland Acres, it has a warm, homey feel to it. Homemade meals, garden offering fresh produce. The staff are professional and compassionate. Residents and Home very clean and well cared for.
