Over 2.3 million people live in Queens County, and at least 15% of residents here are seniors aged 65 and over. For seniors with Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's chorea and other forms of dementia, Queens County has three memory care facilities to provide care. These facilities, like all residential care properties in the state, are licensed and regulated through the New York State Department of Health Adult Care Facility Services office.
