Home Away from Home I is an assisted living facility in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Located in the heart of the city, it's close to hospitals and medical care, as well as numerous entertainment venues and other attractions, including the Rosaryville State Park and Cheltenham Woods Community Park, where seniors can visit with family and friends. Home Away from Home I accepts seniors age 55 and older, and caring staff members provide three meals a day plus snacks. Meals vary and take special diets and seniors' preferences into account. The facility has alert staff members available day and night to assist with the activities of daily living, such as hygiene and grooming. Residents also receive help with monitoring blood sugar for daily medication adjustments. Home Away from Home I provides transportation to off-site religious services for seniors who wish to practice their faith.
