We toured Cedarbrook Village at Ware. We looked at a couple, and this one seemed to be the best one for the needs of my father-in-law. We've met 3 or 4 of the staff. They all sound very nice. The facility is brand new. It opened in 2020, and it's a gorgeous facility. We did see an exercise class while we were there viewing it. The people were getting ready for lunch but they did have dancing and live music. They take people out. They go out for ice cream. They go out for coffee. It seems like they keep them very busy. We did see a schedule of things that they are going to be doing during the week, and they do keep them occupied.

Love the building, the rooms. Everything is clean and new. I've dined with my Mom several times and have enjoyed the food, (mostly get the chef salad) but my Mom says the chicken or bacon is usually overcooked. She's not a picky eater so for her to say that is surprising. Also, I was hoping for more activities to keep her busy and interacting with other residents. She does get out some but mostly sits in her room between meals. She does go to Crossroads (the early memory care area) and tries to stay busy there with some of the activities they have which is a good thing. The theater is nice but usually empty, it would be a good place to have more interactive activities. Pub is a good place to see musicians perform but again, mostly empty when I go visit. Staff is excellent and caring and they treat my Mom well.

The whole facility is beautiful and soothing. Every staff member was pleasant, friendly and so helpful. They made my Nana’s transition to her new home so seamless and just perfect. I stayed overnight with her to make sure she would be ok and to encourage her to get involved and meet everyone. She woke up on the first morning and when I asked her how she felt - Nana said “ I feel so happy”. I have not heard her say that for a very long time. I felt good an confident leaving her in the Egis community where I know she will begin to thrive again. I’m so thankful for everyone and everything. It’s really a place for Nana to call home. Our whole family was anxious about the move and what was going to happen and now I can sleep at night knowing that Nana has the care and attention she deserves as well as all the amazing things she will get to experience and do. Trips to the farm and to get ice cream, music and bingo and exercise- an on-site hair salon - basically if you need it - it’s covered. It really is amazing. I’m so excited to see my Nana glow and be happy. I can’t wait for my next visit or to see her in the frequent updates they provide.

Wonderfully managed and equipped facility located in a scenic rural part of MA, yet close to any requirements or services an active older couple might wish for. It's also perfect for someone who's life style is more leisurely.

I went to Cedarbrook Village at Ware, and it's only ten miles from where I live now. I liked the place very much, and it would be close to home for me. It's not a big place, and I liked it mainly because it's close to home for me, my friends and family here. And if I went off to another place far away, I probably wouldn't get the visitors that I enjoy. So that's primarily why I want to go. One of the females came here to the house and talked to both myself and my husband. But my husband has recently passed away, so it's just me now. I checked out my apartment, and at the time, I put down the five hundred dollars to hold it. The place wasn't ready for occupancy, and my husband wanted to go there. But then he got ill and we had to stay here at home. But now that I'm alone, I'd like to go to a place like that just to be around people and not be alone. The room was very nice, they had a lovely kitchen, washer, dryer, dishwasher, all the amenities. It was small but quite adequate. We were going to have a one-bedroom. They did have activities and I think they had a media room. They had a chapel, they had an exercise room, they served two meals a day, housekeeping and they had a little pub-type thing. It was quite lovely. Very good. It's right off the main street and there are no grounds to speak of it. It's just a huge building and there's very little grass. If somebody wants to see nature and that sort of thing, they better go somewhere else because it's not like that. We've been invited, and I'm going to take my friend who's also looking for a place, and we're going to have lunch there. The staff I met was very pleasant.
