The facility and staff at Atria at Merrimack Place are wonderful! The business director has answered every single question about my parent's ever changing bill. Maintenance has been on duty with my parent's multiple moves and apartment needs. Nursing staff has gone above and beyond to help with my parents needs. Receptionist makes me feel like family when I sign in. Bus driver has been such a help their adjustment to Atria with providing rides to church, Dr's appointments (even outside of scheduled times), trips around town, and just a listening ear. Executive Director has been there for me and my family as my parents adjusted to their new living situation. Your entire staff is so kind and I tell everyone that I talk to that I haven't met a single person that works at Atria that isn't awesome. I absolutely love seeing the Atria Facebook posts that Community Director adds. The care and engagement that you provide for my parents (and all of the residents) honestly moves me to tears.

I found the staff, in particular John P., to be extremely thoughtful, caring and understanding as my 86 year old parents transitioned from living in their own into their new home at Atria. My Mom loves the food - and she doesn’t need to cook which she doesn’t miss one iota…my parents are beginning their next chapter.

The staff is very kind and they have exceeded our expectations for my Mother. The rooms and condition of the facility is excellent. They offer several programs to keep the seniors active and engaged . The food is good . I would recommend Atria to anyone. My Mother loves it at Atria.

One of the most important aspects of Atria to our family is how caring, considerate and friendly the staff is towards my mother. Everyone from the maintenance crew to the wait staff, aides, nurses, activities team and management is absolutely wonderful

I liked Atria Merrimack Place very much. Everybody seemed very nice. It just had a very nice vibe about it, and it felt comfortable. There was a fitness room and an arts and crafts room. The staff was friendly and seemed relaxed and comfortable. We had lunch there, and it was very nice. The food was good, and the service was good. It wasn't just a set meal. There were about 4 or 5 different choices for the meal.

Atria Merrimack Place was an excellent facility. Everyone was so good to us there. It just didn't work out because it wasn't suitable for my uncle and aunt. I was disappointed they couldn't go there. They went to assess my aunt and that was when they said it wasn't a good fit. They had a full workout area with classes. They had a movie room. They had several cafes in addition to the main dining hall that you could pop in at any time and get something to eat, obviously all included. Also included were laundry and housekeeping. They also had a little pub area where they had happy hour every day for the residents and any family who wanted to come as well, but they limited the number of drinks. They could each have two drinks a day and if you wanted wine with dinner, you could have it and bring it to your table to have with dinner. They had beautiful outdoor areas to sit in. Some rooms had small balconies you could sit out in the summer. They had activities where you could sign up for day trips and stuff to different things.

I would want to give the facility five stars overall but I can't. The people who cared for my wife were excellent; personable, professional, skilled, kind, experienced. The corporate administration did not help me as a caregiver. If you are independently wealthy, it probably doesn't matter how the bill gets paid. But for me, it mattered a lot and Atria (the corporation) apparently has only one way of doing their financials. As someone who needed third party help to pay for the time my wife was resident there, this created a problem for Atria that they were not willing or able to help solve. I, the caregiver, had to find a solution. That seems backwards to me. Again, to be clear, the people I interacted with were excellent.

I have been a resident of Atria Merrimack Place for almost two years. They have a lot of activities. I have a studio apartment. The room itself is fine with a big walk-in closet. In the bathroom and shower, there were bars and things that you could hold on to. They just started doing some outdoor activities. They have some scenic trips. They provide the meals. They have a bistro here open for breakfast and lunch. We're not that happy with the meals. The maintenance is excellent. If you have a problem, the maintenance staff comes very quickly. All the employees and activity people are all very good.

I liked Atria Merrimack Place. I live in Newburyport, so it's also familiar. I liked the people and all the amenities they had. It was nice and clean. They had a library that was terrific. There were lectures and things that I was particularly interested in. They had games. If you want to be busy, you can be busy. If you don't, you don't have to. I'm going to independent right now with the possibility of assisted at some point. They gave me an apple pie, and the food looked very good. The staff was terrific. I couldn't have been happier.

I did a tour of Atria Merrimack Place. They had a little restaurant in there, and you can come and go as you please. They had a laundry room there. You can do your own laundry. It's big too. I couldn't get into it, but I did like the look of it. I heard they had a wonderful social program and staff. It's a place where you can walk around and go in and out. I would feel pretty comfortable in the living room. The people there in the social programs could communicate. They have many washing machines and dryers; it was a big room, and I would have had no trouble doing my laundry. There was a nature trail, and I love to go walk when I can. It's a one-bedroom with a big closet and a full bathroom. It is spacious and clean, and not a bit of dirt or dust. It is very well taken care of and well staffed. I think that's what made it a little expensive, paying all those people. It's such a beautiful place anyway. They have activities there, and there is a nature trail that runs almost right by it. It's near the busses. They do puzzles and games. I did not get served, but I have heard from one of my friends; they said the food is excellent and superb. They had a café in a bar, which I'm quite surprised by. You can get actual drinks, but you pay extra for it, of course. It's a café in the building; they have a fantastic social life.

Atria Merrimack Place is a beautiful place. It's just cost prohibitive. It looked like a castle. It's really nice, and it looked kind of like a country club inside. The staff was very pleasant, lovely, answered all my questions, and offered all kinds of information. It looked impeccable, clean, and well kept. It's right around the corner from where I live. For other seniors, it's right off the highway. It's near the hospital and restaurants, and you could walk to shopping from there. The rooms were beautiful, but they didn't have the door that goes out to a patio.

A sign on a resident's door says it all," Thrive, don't just survive". Words to live by for we seniors living out the remainder of our years in an environment which provides companionship and comfort. This is home, where life has dictated we reside and we are grateful for it. The passage of time had indicated it was paramount to place ourselves in a caring atmosphere, in order to live under the guidance of a professional staff whose business it is to make an older generation valued. All residents have made for themselves a place, a purpose and a contribution towards a new and unique perspective on life.

The rooms are modern and very pleasant. The staff does a great job at taking care of the residents, really care and builds personal relationships with the residents. My mother is always raving about how well the staff treats the residents. They have regular daily activities and the staff work's hard at making sure that all residents are involved and engaged. My mother is extremely happy at Atria and was the best move for her.

My mom has enjoyed 4 rich years at Atria. The staff makes it feel like a community, always celebrating life in ways large and small. Mom loves the theme days and her bingo! Her apartment is pristine. She feels at home.

My Mom has been at Atria Merrimack Place for almost a year. She is with Memory Care and her health and overall abilities have improved dramatically shortly after arrival. This I attribute to the daily care given by the entire staff, as proper nourishment to support her diet needs and correctly addressing her medical needs. She transitioned from unable to walk without assistance to swiftly move thought-out the facility. The facility is beautiful from her room, to the common areas and to the surrounding outdoor settings. The staff is wonderful in every aspect and you can feel that instantly when arriving and greeted in the reception area. Her team in Memory Care give of themselves to support all of her needs everyday. They are always kind, friendly and informative to her family. She enjoys the activities very much and proud to show us what some of those were. She and we could not be happier and proud to be part of the Atria Merrimack Place family. To add, someone always answers the phone and helps you which is seemingly a lost art today. Thank you very much to all!

My mother has been at the Atria for over 2 years since my father passed away. Neither she, myself, or my sisters have ever regretted having her move there. She has been so happy and comfortable at the Atria. The staff are all so friendly and caring, they have been like family. Her room is bright and spacious. She enjoys going to the different activities they offer such as bingo and trivia. The food is delicious, like eating out at a restaurant every meal!! We can't say enough about what a positive experience it has been and we will be forever grateful.

Atria Merrimack Place was new three years ago. It was nice, but there wasn't any outdoor space to speak of to go out and sit or read a book.
