Sunrise of Leominster was really good. It was better than the other facility we toured. The rooms were set up better, but they were constructed as an assisted living home. So, construction-wise, they look like regular apartments. They had a living area, separate bedrooms, a bathroom with two baths, and a kitchenette. They had space to put a microwave and a little fridge. They had a sitting area outside and a parking area for the residents if they had a vehicle. The staff members were fabulous. The dining area was very cozy and inviting. It looked nice. They had plenty of activities planned. They had different groups for activities. They also had a hairdresser, a podiatrist, and a priest who came by. They do a lot of community work.

We had a very good impression of the Sunrise of Leominster. It looks like it's a very well-run facility. The rooms are quite large. It was just a very small property, but I think it may work for my mom in the future. The person that escorted us through the property was extremely hospitable, very conversant in the issues with someone going into senior living, very personable, and engaged. The rooms were probably the largest there, even though it was a smaller property off of the main street. Some of the rooms were quite different. They weren't all just rectangles or boxes. They had a nice little design element to them, so that's what we liked about them. There was a porch or patio area on the front of the property. The outdoor space was very limited.

My parents have been there for 2.5 years. The staff that takes care of my parents seem fine, my parents haven't had a lot of complaints about them. However, the management is terrible. They are extremely unresponsive to messages, and will turn a simple request into a months-long drama that most often results in them saying "no" to whatever you ask for. The maintenance guy has been rude since day one. I've told the executive director how disappointed I was in how something was handled and he completely ignored it. The van is very rarely available The communication between staff members is poor, and like I mentioned their communication with family is lacking, too. I wish I had chosen a different place for my parents.

My father moved into Sunrise of Leominster last December. The care has been very good, the communication not so good. They're short-staffed like everybody else, so I understand. But for the money that we're paying, my one complaint is that the communication with the family isn't great. It's clean and kept up, bright, and sunny. I've only seen the food, it looks like they have a nice menu. They have a nice courtyard for the residents to sit in that's sunny and pleasant.

I visited Sunrise of Leominster and I thought it was great, I liked it. I only met the person who toured me but the facility itself and the look of it was really nice and I loved it. I thought it was beautiful and it had a lot of activities that they told me about. The woman who gave me the tour was extremely nice and helpful. She had been there for a while and she told me everything that was going on and how things work during COVID. She had all the answers to all my questions. Everybody was also very appropriate when I came in, they told me what to do. It was just nice and I liked it.

All the people at Sunrise of Leominster were wonderful. At that point, we were brand new and didn't know the process, so they filled us in on what you have to do and how to go about it. The building is amazing. Essentially it got the view of the street, which is not exactly ideal, but the building itself in that neighborhood stands out as the place you want to be. It is good as it could get. The staff was very knowledgeable. They explained the place clearly, which was nice. There were people in the activity room. The place was beautiful, well kept, and neat. Everything was immaculate.

Sunrise of Leominster's staff was very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'd recommend the place. The community is a very nice area with very nice people. The staff is excellent and they followed up with me. Any questions I had, they were very open and willing to help.

We visited Sunrise of Leominster. They were very nice. The rooms were very nice. The staff was very friendly and very personable. They have kind of a library. They have books, so I wouldn’t call it a full library. There was no pool though. The residents were in a living room doing a word game. The dining area was nice. It was nice and roomy.

Sunrise of Leominster was very nice. We liked it because it was near our son. The rooms were okay. We like more activities, but they said you could always start new things you would be interested in. It was a good experience, and the facility was very nice. We had lunch there one day, and it was very nice.

I wasn't too impressed with Sunrise of Leominster. When I entered, the curb appeal wasn't there for me. I felt as though the residents were left with too much time on their hands.

Sunrise of Leominster was a very well kept up and beautiful place. They had apartments for people who could cook on their own or eat in the dining room, and the food was excellent. They had nurses on-duty 24 hours if they needed it. They had a bus that picked up people and took them shopping.

I loved Sunrise. The service was great, but it's a little pricey. Also, if the person needs more care during the month, the pricing will go up. It’s a very nice facility and close to our house. It had good activities, and the dining area was wonderful, but I was concerned that they were looking for staff and might have a high turnover there.

My father seems to be doing well in Sunrise of Leominster, and he seems pleased with the decision to go there. My interaction with them is fine. I like that my father seems happy to go there, they have availability, and the overall interaction with the staff seems quite well.

I went to visit Sunrise of Leominster because it was recommended at our senior center. It was a very beautiful and nice place. The woman who toured us around was wonderful. But with my mother's income, a shared room was what she would get. Their shared apartment had one big room, one smaller room, a shared small living room and also a shared small bathroom. It would have been better if there were private bathrooms for each of the shared apartments.

Sunrise of Leominster is truly a gem among the assisted living facilities in the Leominster/Fitchburg area. As you approach the facility, you already get the sense that great pride is taken in providing residents with the best possible. The building is incredibly well maintained and has a wonderfully landscaped approach. Inside, the positive impression continues as each space is fresh, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. The staff is incredibly professional while being personal and friendly: every one you meet greets you with a smile. The residents receive top-notch care and amenities are available to meet just about everyone's needs. While we've been visitors there, we've seen residents taking advantage of exercise classes, outings, games and reading clubs. The meals are certainly above the level you would expect from an assisted living facility and are delicious. The Sunrise of Leominster assisted living facility is someplace that definitely warrants a look when needing a placement in the Fitchburg/Leominster area.

I found the facility itself to be pretty, neat and clean. My grandmother, a dementia patient, stayed in the locked "memory unit" side of the facility. Most of the staff members in both that section and the main section were extremely friendly. I also liked the fact that they allowed visiting dogs and had a live-in cat, which helped to improve the mood of the residents. However, communication between staff members was sometimes lacking. For example, we would often call ahead and ask staff to get my grandmother ready so that my father and I could take her to doctor or dentist appointments and get her there on time. Sometimes this would work, but other times we would arrive to pick her up and find her in the middle of eating a meal or participating in an activity and not at all ready to go.I would certainly recommend the facility to others whose family members require extra care, but I do wish they they would streamline their staff communication.
