I was a resident of Fairview Gracious Retirement. I found them decent in terms of price and the rest of it. There seems to be a lot of change regarding the management and the executive director of that particular place. The food is not quite as good as where I am now. They don't have an exercise room. Fairview Gracious Retirement has the lowest price as I looked around.

I went to Fairview Gracious Retirement. What I like about it is it's on the road, but the road is kind of a back road. It's not like a heavily traveled road. But it's just very nice and I like the size of it. It's not overly huge like the other facility. It's very woodsy, which is what she likes. So that was one thing. She liked the nature around it. The staff was lovely. We had two people, and I asked to go back up and see one of the rooms that we had looked at because I couldn't remember exactly while we were discussing the finances. And they were very nice to let us go back up and look. So they're very kind. They took a long time answering questions for my sister and trying to probe what she liked and didn't like about things. There's nothing not to like about any of these properties. It's just what she or where she decides she's going to be the most comfortable and the finances. That's what we're going to go on.

I moved in at Fairview Estates Gracious Retirement Living in October. The food here is not great quality. The facilities are very nice, and the place is very clean. They have a courtyard, a salon, an activity room, and an exercise room.

Fairview Estates Gracious Retirement Living was excellent. The tour was wonderful. We got a lot of information. It's very lovely, well cared for, very clean, and immaculate. The people that live there seem to be very happy. The staff members were wonderful. They were so kind and helpful. They even moved my car because I parked in the wrong place. The woman that gave us the tour was kind enough to go out and move the car for me. They were very accommodating. There couldn't have been more so. The apartments that we saw were large. The only thing I would say is they didn't have a full kitchen. They have like a kitchenette. There was a refrigerator, but no stove. They offer you all your meals there, so you don't need to cook for yourself. The apartments were large. We looked at a 2-bedroom one, and it was much larger than I expected. The staff was very patient. The facility was wonderful.

My parents are moving into the Fairview Estates Gracious Retirement Living. It was the most affordable with the VA benefits. They had everything that they needed, people to come in and help them with the food, and cleaning. The others were more expensive. The people are wonderful, they're helping with everything that we need, they even gave my parents vaccines, they've been very, very helpful. The apartments are beautiful, they have a balcony, they have a washroom right across the hall, they have a beautiful dining room, they have a movie theater in there, so many different things that they do for them, different game nights, bingo nights, and all kinds of things that they can get entertainment and be with other people. It's brand new, I think it's only four years old. The staff come in weekly, they'll be doing housework for them, they're changing the linen, all that's included, they don't have to do any of that which is really good for my mom especially, 'cause she's doing it all now, and it's too much for her. I have no complaints, I think anybody would love to be there. I know they have a chef, and they do different things every night, the main meal is the lunch meal, the biggest meal, then dinner and breakfast, and if they wanna eat in their room, they can have it brought to their room, they don't have to come out, they're very accommodating, which I thought was nice.

Fairview is an adequate place to live. It offers some activities, a shuttle that has designated days for different destinations (doctors, shops) within a limited radius, but it has a serious problem with food service. The quality of the food is very uneven and it has a difficult time holding on to staff.

Fairview Estates Gracious Retirement Living was very clean and the manager lives on the premises. They have cars that take you to appointments and buses which they use for shopping. They have craft classes, raised beds so you could have your own garden, patios, places where you can walk, parking for cars, laundry rooms, computer rooms, and theaters.

My mom loves Fairview Estates Gracious Retirement Living. It's a great place. I love the activities for her, the atmosphere, and the food. I'm happy, and she's happy. They have exercises, bingo, outings, movies, and games. The food is good and has lots of variations.
