Sadly, Can not recommend this rehab facility. Most of the nursing staff are nice and helpful but it takes too long for the patient to get help when they press the button. Waited over 20 minutes for someone to come help the patient... by the time they came it it was too late. You can hear the buzzer outside the door but even some nurses that are right next to the door and can hear it do not respond to help at all even after 20 minutes cause its not their patient. sad. They are prob understaffed I am sure and under paid, but then they should not take on more patients that they can handle. some are hard for the patient to understand and then get angry or ignored cause they ask to repeat. Sometimes you can hear the staff mutter under their breath when they hear the buzzer... what do they want again sad. they are their to help people that are in distress. Food is ok, lack luster. I would say try to stay away. Lack of proper equiptment like wheel chairs with oxygen tank , decent reclining chairs in room for patient or even chairs for visitors. Not the worst place but short of the good care and attention needed

I WAS ADMITTED CHRISTMAS EVE 2021. I SUFFERED A BROKEN HIP.i NEEDED AIDE AND RANG FOR A NURSE. 1 HOUR AND 45 MINUTES LATER AND NUMEROUSE CALLS BROUGHT NOTHING. I CALLED THE FRONT DESK ON MY CELL TO SEE IF ANYONE WAS WORKING. FORTY FIVE MINUTES LATER SOMEONE CAME ALBEIT TOO LATE. THE NIGHT STAFF WAS LAZY AND SURLY. sOME WERE GREAT MOST WERE'NT. P.T. WAS MINIMAL AND NOT AGRESSIVE OR OFTEN ENOUGH TO WARRANT REPAIR TO THE HIP.FOOD WAS NOT GREAT IN FACT I LOST ALMOST TWETY POUNDS.I STAYED 33 DAYS. THIRTY TOO MANY. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FACILLITY IN FACT I HAVE BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN KEEPING TWO FRIENDS AWAY FROM HARBOR HOUSE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

accommodations were deplorable. Nursing staff were good when you could find them. My friend missed 2 meals with very poor excuses. My friend was transferred out 3 days later

My brother Ed has been a resident since April17, 2019 and has been treated with the utmost respect since day one. The entire staff has given 1000% in responding to his daily needs. Its comforting for the family to know their loved one is being cared for and his needs are being met in a timely and professional manner. In the words of his daughter "this place is like a palace compared to prior nursing facility. I highly recommend Harbor House to anyone seeking placement. The food service is also above average. All and any concerns have been addressed and resolved to my satisfaction

Terrible, terrible, terrible nursing care. My parent fell from bed and no one helped or responded to alarm. She passed that night.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My mother was in rehab there after hip replacement surgery. She was there for 48 hours without her own walker. If she had to use the bathroom she had to borrow her roommates walker. She arrived on sat at 3 pm. She was not given dinner as the kitchen staff waz not expecting her. Until 7 am Sunday she only received two Tylenol. By Sunday she had not received any other medications —although she requested it. She also was not given her blood pressure medication sat night. By Sunday her blood pressure was very high. Night nurse also claimed he had given her her pain med in the middle of the night. But when we asked for him to check the computer he hadn’t. She started writing down all the meds, doses and times herself as they could not be trusted. I had her removed today even though she probably needed to be I rehab another week. This place is terrible and dangerous and unprofessional. The place is dirty anc no one cleaned anything in her roo or bathroom for the four days she was there.

My mother was in Harbor House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 22 days. The care was very good. The staff was very good. They had some entertainment, sing-alongs, and things going on in that regard. There's not as much activity because it's more of a skilled nursing facility and people are very sick, but the activities that they did have were of a very high quality. The food was not so great.

I visited this facility

The staff at Harbor House was very friendly and helpful. They seemed like they had activities every day on their calendar of activities. Unfortunately, they can’t take my father-in-law.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom is in Harbor House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. The staff there is very caring and very attentive to the needs of their residents. My mom has a roommate. The room is very spacious. They let their residents bring in their own furnitures. They just have to share a bathroom with their roommates, but it is fine. I have not eaten there personally. However, they have an assortment of menu (items), if the residents don't like what they are having. They have all kinds of sandwiches and alternatives too. They also have bingo pretty much every day. People sometimes come in and sing to the residents. They also have arts and crafts. I am very satisfied with the place in general. After everything I experienced with them, I don't think they need to improve on something. This community is top-notch!
