The Current Beverly is a few blocks away from the beach. They had bedroom units, which were large enough that I could get much of the furniture I currently have in storage into those units. Three meals a day are supplied and their menu looked very appetizing. The dining room is very nice. So, I don't think there'll be any problems there. They have a common area where they give talks and concerts and you can watch movies on a large screen TV. They have a wine and beer bar on the top floor. Just beyond this is a full-width promenade area with chairs that goes around the corner. The facility is up on the top of a hill and when you look down from this promenade, you look over the trees right down to the ocean and the beach. It's a beautiful view and I would probably be out there sitting and reading out in the open air. It's a nice full-width balcony that runs the full length of the building. So, it's quite large. The facility has been completely refurbished and everything is brand new. The salesperson was very friendly and nice. He is continuing to communicate with me and keep me up to date. They have periodic get-togethers that he invites me to. I haven't been to any yet, because I pretty much made up my mind. The facility has weekly housekeeping. They have a linen service. Each floor has its own laundry that you can use at no extra cost. It's pretty much a standard kind of business. Of the places I've visited, I haven't found any that are any different there. It was a clean place. They were just starting to fill it in again. There weren't that many residents yet because they had just reopened. As I mentioned, it is up on a hill. It's up on the very pinnacle of a hill and if you don't have a car, if you are walking, you have to go up to get into it. I'm on supplemental oxygen and if I have to walk up a hill, I get tired pretty fast. So, ingress into the place could be a consideration for somebody who is walking, because you have to go uphill to get into it.

It was a converted, old school, but it's in reasonably good shape and has high ceilings. The apartments are cozy but don't have full kitchens. The man who took me around was lovely and the staff that I met was nice. It's located in downtown Beverly, which is a lovely town. It's a little on an incline, so I don't think my mother would've been able to walk in her walker going downtown.

It was very nice. The person that assisted me was very helpful. They had trips, Bingo, card games, movies, and arts and crafts. We had a meal and it was good. They had a library, and the room that I saw was nice.

I visited and the staff was very cordial. I liked that it was in a somewhat suburban setting. It was interesting and unique and had an absolutely wonderful view. The rooms were typical and small but OK. There were lots of shops, coffee houses, and churches around the area.

It is beautiful. It has architectural detail in all the rooms because it’s an old building that was renovated, and everything is accessible primarily by elevator. It’s easy to get to right downtown. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. If the elderly person is active, it might be a great place because they can walk to the theater. There is a jazz bar and an art center. You can walk to the beach and parks. There are tons of stuff to do. They offer free membership to the YMCA across the street to anyone who is staying there. They have a beautiful view of the ocean. It has a nice dining facility with a great menu and options. There’s not a lot of parking, which is the downside of being in the inner city. You really don’t need a car between being able to walk places and having shuttle buses. They have a really nice dedicated Alzheimer's floor which seems well maintained and secure with their own staff. You have to have a key to get on and off the floor with the elevator, which was nice.

It overlooked the ocean. If you go up to the third floor and take a chair, you can see the ocean. The biggest drawback is it’s an hour away from where I am living right now, but the community itself was very nice. The staff was very nice, friendly, and answered all my questions.

It was certainly in an acceptable location. The facility itself, the accommodations, and the way they handled the meals were fine. The ability to go from one level to another and how they dealt with the guests were acceptable. They showed me the garden that some of the residents had access to.

I was very pleased with the staff, their attention to my mother, and the fact that the facility was bright and clean. I would recommend Oceanview to anyone who asked me about assisted living.

After being hesitant at first, my mother loved living here. She made many new friends and felt like she was living the dream. Good food, good care, nice apartment, friendly people and lots to do. The staff was outstanding.

We were able to visit. This place was our first choice because mom liked it. We found that the residents there were very relaxed and very interactive with one another. We love the appearance and the ambiance of the apartments. It was a very warm and welcoming place. They told us all of the activities and showed us the schedule of activities as well. They also showed us the menu so that we would know what kind of meals there were serving. They also told us about the transportation options and the fact that they have a dentist and a doctor on site. They also went over the price list with us.

I was impressed. I liked the way it looked. It was homey; it had a lot of character. It didn't look like a hospital or an institution of any kind. The rooms were spacious. There was a good selection of different sizes. The building is a renovated school that was originally built in the 1800s. They've done a beautiful job with it. The director was very nice and very helpful and gave me her personal cell number if I needed anything. I would recommend going to look at it.
