What I liked about Sunrise of Arlington MA was the proximity to where I live. But I didn't see my uncle living there. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I didn't think it would be for him. They were wonderful. They gave a great tour. It seemed like the staff was attentive, but it just didn't feel like him. It may not have been right for my uncle, but it wasn't necessarily a bad place. The staff that we interacted with seemed lovely. They have a gym, but I didn't hear them talk about a podiatrist and someone for cutting hair. They had a lovely dining area. The upkeep was OK. It was a little dated but all very clean and nice.

The activities that Sunrise of Arlington MA offers are superior. My mother was actually very interested in moving in there. The appearance of the place is really fabulous. It has a very tranquil feel, and very spacious feeling on the inside. It's beautifully designed aesthetically and really quite amazing on the inside. The food was delicious and they had a wonderful chef there. The lady who took us around was new, but she was very polite, nice, and charming.

I toured Sunrise of Arlington MA. It was in an older neighborhood, but it was still very nice inside. The lady who gave me the tour was lovely, she was very helpful. In the dining area, the people were eating. They looked fine, clean, and it was a good menu selection. Everything was clean. The room was of average size.

My 88 year old mother has been in assisted living at Sunrise for 9 months. So she arrived during covid of 2020. I knew as soon as I walked in that Sunrise was the place I wanted my Mom to live in. The entryway was warm and inviting, the library was on the left and a spacious and well appointed dining room was on the right. There is a grand piano and a professional pianist on staff! The courtyard at the front door is always filled with flowers and places to lounge. The back garden is quite large and well landscaped. There is a grill, umbrellaed tables, rocking chairs, and space for residents to garden. There are enclosed porches and comfy common spaces. The staff went to great lengths to provide activities and special events to ease the isolation due to covid restrictions. The food was not bad considering they were initially bringing 3 meals a day to every resident. On top of which they had snack carts go from room to room. My Mom has a studio apartment and it is more than enough space for her. The bathroom is spacious and, I for one, am happy theres no stove in the kitchenette! There are different layouts to choose from, Moms windows overlook the back gardens. The staff in every department are friendly and helpful. They know the story of every resident. It has been a joy to see the place come to life as restrictions eased. The residents are out and about and so happy and friendly. Many different activities outside the facility have returned. Inside theres everything from bingo to educational classes. My mom has had medical issues since moving, all due to her having type 2 diabetes. The nursing staff has been right there with her every step of the way. The director, the chef, the care manager, have all been quick to respond to any concerns or suggestions. I love the fact that Sunrise is so well landscaped, but urban living is a block away. There is public transportation into Harvard Square in Cambridge, where there are great museums and sights and of course Harvard University. Arlington is a little more laid back than Cambridge, giving many options. I think Sunrise is a lovely community at a reasonable price.

Sunrise of Arlington seemed very nice. They wanted to assess my mother even though she has some significant needs. The staff members were good. The director was very nice. It's in a very urban setting, so the grounds are limited. It's not nearly as lavish as many other communities because of the urban setting. For example, it's not where you would send somebody if you want them to experience a little more nature in their final days, but the location is convenient for me because I live close by. The rooms seemed like a good size. There was a variety of choices. They have studios, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms.

If zero stars was an option, that would be my rating. Sunrise is a good facility if your family member is comatose or independent. Assistance is not their forte. They have limited to 0 dementia training. They knee my father had frontallobe dementia when he first moved there. As his disease progressed, they were un able/unwilling to provide the training for staff and care needed for my father. There were numerous errors in his care plan, this is all documented with Social Services. Run away fast.

Sunrise of Arlington facilities seemed attractive. We saw the studio, companion suite, the dining areas, and some outdoor space. There was a dog barking when we walked in. The location was great.

Of all the places I visited, I have to say that the people who run Sunrise of Arlington MA were just absolutely wonderful, but it wasn't the right place for my mother because the place was too busy for her. She needed more quiet areas than they would have there. I think the rooms were fine. They had a very inviting dining room. The staff seemed very good, and the parking was OK.

We were not impressed with Sunrise of Arlington. When we visited, they were having an open house and it was very hectic, disorganized, and didn't have a nice, homey feel. It was a little chaotic. The staff was fine. I don't have anything negative to say about them. It's just not as nice as some of the other places we saw. It's definitely a step down in all aspects than some of the other places we saw.

My mom is at Sunrise, and we love it. They are wonderful. I went to a number of them, and that one is the best. I like their program and their care for dementia patients. My mom is in a two-bedroom, but the way that they build their two bedrooms is that the bathroom is in the middle, so it is as if they are two separate ones. They let them participate in anything that they possibly can. They do some memory work, arts & crafts, and memory games with them. It is right on the main street, but the memory unit is on the third floor, and they have a nice porch that was protected. They have a nice living room. The bedrooms are clean. It is just very nice, and the food is excellent.

This assisted living facility is very poorly run. My family member did a respite stay for 3 months and she ended up in the ICU because of their uncoordinated care. There were plenty of times when an on-call assistant would not show up to a room when paged. Additionally, the Assisted Living coordinator is very rude, condescending and constantly tries to push for charging extra for services and additional fees. Never once did I hear from her about the care for my family member and how she was doing - it was always the family member seemed to be the cause of problems. Also, if you are trying to provide some of the care yourself like giving medications, they strongly try to discourage it so that they can do it and charge a lot for it.

I like everything about Sunrise of Arlington. Everything about this facility is perfect. It is immaculately clean. The staff are all very nice. They all do their job and they take good care of my father. I can’t find anything wrong with it. Dad is very comfortable in the facility.

Sunrise of Arlington was okay and clean. Units are very small and the main space is very small with a kitchenette and a little garden at the back. I spoke to somebody who took us on the tour but we didn't talk to the staff. They were having an entertainment night where they had some musicians in and everybody was sitting in the reception area which was also the dining room and that was kind of claustrophobic, but maybe because there were so many people there.

In my multiple visits to Sunrise Senior Living in Arlington, MA I have regularly been impressed with the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the resident rooms and grounds, and above all with the apparent happiness of the seniors residence. My grandmother has been a resident there for the better part of the last 3 years and while I was initially skeptical about her moving into a nursing home I was completely sold the first time I saw the facilities and met with the staff. One of my major concerns about Sunrise Senior Living was the location right on one of the busier avenues in my town. However, this turned out to be a blessing as it allows higher functioning residents (which definitely still includes my grandmother!) to frequent local shops and restaurants as they please. While I realize that my grandmother may not remain at this level of functioning forever I am confident that she will continue to be well taken care of at Sunrise.

The amenities: Food facility was really good. Clean and healthy food with choices although limited but great choices.Games provision for the elderly to play during the evening.Calender with events provided, so options to choose when to go.Personal aid also provided. The staff were really nice and friendly to visitors as well as the seniors. The environment was really clean and cozy. Therefore, I believe that seniors living there are satisfied. The bathrooms had emergency help strings which is very beneficial for the seniors living there. The rooms provided for seniors with personal aid were pretty decent. The rooms had refrigerator, television. The nurses available there made sure that everyone took their medicine and would check up on them timely. Amenities such as bed sheets, diapers etc were provided by the facility on a daily/ weekly basis.Newspapers were provided to the seniors on a daily basis. Personal attention is given to each senior. The laundry was not personal although which might be an issue at time but it is not a big deal.

I really liked Sunrise Assited living. My grandmother was a resident there for over 4 years in their Memory Care wing. My grandmother was suffering from demntia and the staff at sunrise helped us through every level of her care from the very beginning to the end. The took wonderful care of my grandmaother but they also took wonderful care of us. They were attentive to our questions and concerns and took the time to explain the ins and outs of her diease. The facilities were always clean and welcoming and they invited personal touches to their patients rooms to make them and us feel more at home. They hosted special events through out the year and durign holiday and invited the families to particiipate with their loved ones in these activities. They were also extrememly responsible. Always makeing sure to call if anything out of the ordinary happened. Such as a bad night, change in appitiet or concerns from the Doctor who came to visit regularly. I think they only thing that I didn't like about the facility was it had a very high turn over for nurses aids and this made it difficult to get to know and establish a rapport with the people who had the most interaction with my grandmother on a day to day basis.

I would frequent this assisted living facility as an EMS provider. Every time that I have been in this facility I received nothing but kindness and help from the staff. From the receptionist to the RN's on staff, they would bend over backwards to help the patient as well as my partner and myself. The facility is always clean and pleasant smelling unlike other facilities I have been to. The decor is elegant and designed to make the patients feel at home. There are always activities going on with much participation from the patients. The food is always abundant and looks appeasing. The rooms are very spacious and accommodating. Usually the rooms are cramped with no free space to move a stretcher or wheelchair. Also there is always 3 or more patients to a room which spreads germs. It is always a pleasure coming to the Sunbridge of Arlington. If I had to choose a facility for an ailing family member, I would likely consider this facility.
