I chose it because it's close to home. It's been good so far, everybody has been very helpful, and the staff is great to work with so far. My mother's room is very nice, she's in a room by herself. With the COVID, we're only allowed half-hour visits twice a week. The staff has been good and the place is very nice so far. She's in memory care so she doesn't do too many activities.

We went to The Terraces at Westminster. For my mother-in-law, it was overkill. Everybody there was a lot older and more disabled than she was, so it was overkill for her. It was a nice place. When we were there, they were having Hawaii Day, and everybody was actively involved and stuff. It looked like it would have been a nice place if she was at that point. I like the fact that they involved everybody and included everybody with everything. They didn't leave people just laying around. They involved all the residents. The staff seemed very nice, and the people that were there were very helpful as well. Their food was something that an older person would probably like but I didn't care for it as much. The place was very clean, though. It seemed to be in a congested area, but when you go back in there, it's all by itself, and it's in a nice area. It's nice looking.

We liked The Terraces at Westminster. It's a clean and professional facility. There are a lot of meal options. The physical therapist is there five days a week. They have activities every day. Even the double rooms are private. The person who gave me the tour was very nice, very informative, and helpful. I was able to see everything. I saw a single occupancy room as well as a double room. Everything was excellent. I did not try their food, but they have multiple options for the patients, and the cook always caters to the clients. So if there's nothing on the menu, they will still make what they want. They have an activities board. They were doing trivia bingo and they were doing stretching exercises when I got there. For amenities, they have a spa available, they have a podiatrist that comes to do their nails at the facility, and they have transportation if they want to go to the Y, which is right down the road.

I did a tour of The Terraces at Westminster. It was very nice, but the price range was way up. They had everything there but the price was twice as much. They had everything there. It's a beautiful place, it was a whole mansion. They have about 40 residents there. They have everything. They have different apartments for ladies and so many activities. It was really nice, but we can't afford it. They had everything there. They had medical care, and a podiatrist came in for the toenails. They had a physician's assistant that come in every month. They had its own private rooms, and each one had their own bathroom and kitchenette in their room. They had elevators, but they didnt have stairs. They had programs, where they didn't just sleep all day, they kept the people going, which I liked. They had a beautiful dining room, and they pick out their own food, what they want. It's very nice. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and very accommodating. She listens to your concerns and answers everything that you ask her. She lets you know up front that it was going to be a raise every year on the rent and all that. I just met that one lady who took us around. Everybody was doing their work and it was very pleasant. Everybody was smiling. They were cleaning while I was there. There were no smells in the building, which was very pleasant.

We visited the assisted living of The Terraces at Westminster because my dad is at that point where we think that's where he might need to go. The physical appearance I felt was good. Everybody there was completely happy to oblige me to see the inside. The facility had more of a home feeling because it looked like at some point it was some type of a large home, and everything seemed to be in order. The dining room was very nice; it was set up well like a restaurant. The room was okay. Somebody had just left it, and so there was still some stuff in it. It was a decent enough setup. One place could be for the bedroom and then a little nook kind of place where if you wanted to have a chair and a TV or something. The facilities seemed clean, and all the people that I interacted with were very generous and happy to answer questions. I would give it high ratings. They were doing a crossword puzzle in a group. The only thing I didn't like about the place was that when I walked into the facility, where the main desk is and where the people who work there go in and clock in and out, I felt bad for the group of people because there were probably 8 to 10 people there, and then a lady in the front of the room who was doing all the questions and things like that, and it was very loud and kind of almost intrusive on what they were doing. I came at a time where it was a shift change, so that didn't help, and it was kind of not the best scenario. The rooms were decent size enough that you can fit the least amount of things that you need. My dad doesn't need a lot and he's very simple, so I thought the rooms were OK.

I toured The Terraces at Westminster yesterday. It was really clean, and it was very cute. It didn't have a hospital vibe, which was nice. All the staff seemed very friendly. The shared rooms were very small, though. They had a little fine dining area for the food, which gave it a nice feel for the patients. I did not try the food, but it looked good. It also looked like they had a board of activities like a happy hour where a guy comes in and kind of socializes. There was a big crossword puzzle board in the commons area, they had a little puzzle area, and they had like a little barbershop salon. They had a big wraparound porch with a lot of space where you could just go out there and sit, and it was nice.

I went to see their assisted living and it was excellent. When you walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The nurse who gave me the tour sat down, and spoke with me was very informative. He was helping to try and point me in the right direction of what my mom might need. He took a lot of time, I was there for over an hour with him. The people I saw seemed to be happy. There were people watching TV in the lobby and there were people having dinner. The staff all said hi and they seemed to be friendly. They weren't just walking by ignoring you or ignoring each other. The rooms were very nice, large, and they supplied the furniture if you don't want to bring your own. It's very nice and very beautiful. It was clean and many of the rooms had windows so you got a little view from outside. Going up to the building, they have a veranda, so it's a wraparound porch with chairs so people can sit outside. I only really met 2 people that I spoke with. The secretary at the front door, who was very friendly, and the nurse who showed me around. They were friendly and they treated you like you would stop in every day and say hi.

My tour went very well. It looked very clean and orderly. They had good residential living, good food facilities, They had very clean, efficient rooms. The people are very attentive, I didn't see anybody that appeared to be upset. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The dining room was very nice and very roomy. It appeared to be an adequate place.
