My dad moved to The Charleston Senior Community. It was a hotel that was converted and it seems more open and airy than the other place we visited. So far, with what we're seeing, we like the place. The staff seems very friendly, they're very helpful, and they are there to greet the visitors and residents when they see them, so they're a very nice staff. They're still under COVID restrictions so although we can visit, we're not allowed to eat in the dining area with him. So far, he hasn't had anything negative to say about the food. It looks good and smells good. They have activities and programs.

I visited The Charleston Senior Community's assisted living. Someone else scheduled me and did not clarify that the person giving the tour was not available. They had someone moving in that day and I was there at an odd time so I was only able to get a very small tour. I wasn't able to see the full facility because she didn't have time. I do have another date to go back. However, from what I saw at the facility, and from what she was able to show me, I was impressed. I was able to see their general store and their rehabilitation workout facility where they have the residents get some physical therapy. I was able to see their quiet, cozy corner where the people could come in. It's like a chapel where they can have their religious meetings. They also have an area where they have community events. They have outside guests coming in to do shows or things like that, which was really nice. I wasn't able to see the dining area or get a tour of any of the rooms, but from what I saw, the place was nice. The lady who gave me the tour was very nice, too. She was very apologetic because she didn't have time to give a full tour, which I understood. She had been very attentive, though, because since this process started, she had been trying to get in touch with me. She kept missing me but she gave me a rundown of all the time she tried to call and email and I could verify everything. She called me several times to try to get me into the facility.

The Charleston Senior Community was a very nice place. They had everything that you need there. It's an old Holiday Inn hotel that they converted, and they did a nice job of it. The staff was very good. We didn't have as much contact with them as we had at the other place, but we liked the place. They were very good. We met one or two staff members there and they were very cordial.

We toured The Charleston Senior Community. The tour was excellent. The personnel there were excellent, very informative, but the rooms were too small. The price was too expensive. We did see their kitchen, the dining area, and so forth. We did not test any food.

I toured The Charleston Senior Community and the place was big. They had a lot to offer. They had a theater and all the activities, but the rooms were small. They were just like a dorm, with one bedroom, and a bathroom. The price was nice.

The only least thing about The Charleston Senior Community was the cost. Everything else was the best. It was just phenomenal. They have a place they can go get their hair done. They have physical therapy. They have a restaurant or cafe. They have a theater for the seniors to come in and watch movies. They have games and activities every single day. The biggest thing about it was the lifeline where they keep track of the residents. It had a G.P.S. on it. So, let's say my mom was not in her room but she was visiting a friend in the facility, they would know immediately if there was an emergency and where she was located. To me, that was tremendous. Their food was very much like a restaurant-style. You go down there and you go into the little dining hall and you order from different selections off the menu for the day. It was nice. The living space that I saw was very small. It's just one room. It's got a bed, a dresser, and a wardrobe. That's pretty much it. They have a little refrigerator in there, a college dorm-size refrigerator, and they also had one small wardrobe, like a closet, and a microwave, which was nice. Other than that, it's very small. The size of the room was difficult. It's the size of a hotel room because that's what it used to be. It used to be a hotel room. There's not a lot of square feet.

I liked everything about The Charleston Senior Community. It was a nice and clean place. The rooms were spacious. The manager was polite and very knowledgeable about the place. She was great. All their amenities were great, too. They had a salon, a barber, a bar, a game room, a movie room, and they had physical therapy.

We had an in-person tour of The Charleston Senior Community. We were impressed. The staff members were very helpful and knowledgeable. They showed me the studio, and it looked good. It had a kitchenette, a refrigerator, and all the basic needs. There were a lot of activities, and the residents were busy with different activities. They have an exercise room. They have a garden. The facility looked very clean. They provide field trips.

I toured The Charleston Senior Community assisted living. I like that it was clean, it was quiet, and calm. I didn't hear a lot of people yelling or crying, unlike other places I've been in that were kind of traumatic. The staff was very professional and friendly. I was able to visit one of their model units, it was displayed very nicely and helped me visualize what it would be like having my mom there. They had a social calendar and a social director that plans their activities. I had a chance to see their restaurant-style dining room and the clients go there for their meals, it was set up nicely like a restaurant. What I saw was nice, it's just too expensive for what my mother could afford right now. The staff who gave me the tour was very, very nice, knowledgeable, comforting, and reassuring.

Our experience with The Charleston Senior Community was good. There were a lot of amenities available. I spoke to some residents and they said that they enjoy living there. They had multiple areas for the seniors to use. They had a game room, a bar that serves alcohol, two movie rooms, and a physical therapy facility. Those facilities are all on the first floor, but it's multiple levels because it used to be a hotel, so they have a lot of single rooms. They have arts and crafts, game nights, and they have performers come. I only got to meet the person giving the tour. It was very clean.

The Charleston Senior Community was very confined to the space. I would only have one room, then a bathroom, and a kitchenette. It's converted from a motel, so it would be just like staying in a motel room, and that wouldn't have been adequate for me. They have a garden patio, which was very nice though. I visited two friends that live there and saw that they have this large swimming pool, which has not been used in many years. I thought it was a hazard to the residents because there was a huge tarpaulin that was falling into it. So, I don't think they plan to do anything with that.

My friend will be moving into The Charleston Senior Community. She likes it and is comfortable with it. It seems to be a bit more affordable. The staff members were very responsive, warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The facilities were nice, and everything was functional. It appears that the residents there are happy with it. They have a salon, a movie theater, and a store where they can shop to get items.

The Charleston Senior Community was very clean. The marketing manager was very knowledgeable. They had a lot of activities and they were very interested in keeping their residents engaged and informed. The receptionist was very helpful. I didn't get to see the food. They didn't let the visitors intermingle with them. I saw menus, but not the actual food. The staff that I encountered was great. The one-bedroom one-bath was nice. It had nice lighting coming into it. There's a really cute kitchenette. The railings were everywhere to help the residents.

I went to The Charleston Senior Community. It was wonderful. It was very neat. It was clean. There was a lot for the residents to do and very organized. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The dining area was very pretty. I saw one model room. It was very pretty. It was just perfect for what my parents needed. They have physical therapy and a fitness room they go down for. They have a salon. They have a movie theater. There is a pool there, but they're having too many issues with it. It's very well kept, very clean.

I checked out The Charleston Senior Community. It was nice. I like it. It was very clean and organized. I like the layout and everything. If I were to choose a facility for my parents, I would choose that one. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Any questions I had, they answered. The sample room was nice. I like the layout and the options available. I like the number of activities and amenities they had. They had a lounge area that was set up like a bar. There was a movie theater room. They have a physical therapy area. They have an activity room, which was decorated for Halloween or something like that. Everything was nice.

It was good. It was kind of small, so it felt more personal. Everything just seems to be in very good running order. I just thought it was pretty good. The staff was very nice, and very knowledgeable. The rooms were quite fine. It's a commercial neighborhood. It's overall a nice place.

The Charleston Senior Community was a lovely place. I was very pleased. I chose it for my sister because of the good feeling I had when I walked into the establishment. It was previously a hotel, so I knew that it had a lot of space. The administrator was extremely nice and very knowledgeable. She made me feel right at home. We did a walk-through. The model room was very cute, and it's just enough space. They converted a hotel into this facility and the spacing is just perfect. I looked at a single studio and it was decorated very nicely and what they've done was very good. They updated the bathrooms, the walk-in showers, and everything with the rails. It was all very safe looking. I love the fact that you have the three meals and it was a restaurant. They have an actual chef and three very good meals and two snacks a day. It had a beauty salon inside, a theater room, a little bar where they have a happy hour for those that can have happy hour, but they had nonalcoholic beverages, too. The onsite physical therapy that's available and the program that they have to offer I thought was awesome. The grounds were good and it's close enough for me to go run in and see her when I wanted to or needed to. She will be happy there and the residents are very diverse. It was important to me having all types of people. I saw all types of residents of all nationalities and ethnicities. Everyone was nice. The fact that you can come and dine is great with a family member. That will cost you, but it's not unreasonably priced. The pricing was reasonable for the services. It's a perfect fit for a medium-income person. I didn't get the low-income feel. it was priced where we can go and it's not a single residence where the person could be technically isolated. I don't think she would feel isolated here because it's large enough and once they're back up to their capacity, there'll be quite a few people there that she can interact with.

I'm living in The Charleston Senior Community. The aides are very, very nice, and they are so good to me. There are things I don't like about the place, but my experience has been good. The apartment is small, but comparable with the other places I went to. It's affordable, it's clean, and the aides are friendly and communicative.

My father loves all of the activities like the exercise classes and the Dominos games. He also enjoys all of the concerts. When we first strongly suggested that it was time for him to move from his home to an assisted living, he was very resistant and depressed. Within a few months he began to see that it was a great place for him to be.

My mother-in-law is in the Charleston Senior Community. She is adjusting so well, and we're very pleased about that. They're learning what her needs are, she loves her room, it's clean, it's comfortable, she has as much as she can bring from home there, and she's very pleased. She has gone out on a trip to the store, she goes to happy hour, bingo, and she goes outside to sit and watch the traffic and the people. I haven't seen an attitude in any of the staff members. They're all very kind, and they speak to you. We're very pleased with them.

My mom moved into The Charleston. It's very nice and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and all my mom's needs are being met. They have outings where they take them out to lunch, or on shopping trips, and arts and crafts, which my mom likes doing. They're also planning to do some gardening when the weather gets better. The dining area is beautiful. My mom has mentioned that the food is quite good and that she enjoys it.

We chose The Charleston Senior Community for my husband because it was closer to our location. The people are very nice and kind. He's been there for a few weeks now and we really enjoy it. The amenities are really nice. They have a movie theater inside, game rooms, a swimming pool, taverns, and a dining room. The staff is really caring, very kind, and very helpful. At this point, I don't have any complaints. He loves the food. I've eaten there once and the food is good. You can pretty much eat anything throughout the day until about 8:00 or 9:00, then they have a little store afterwards as well. They have great activities. They have morning workouts, lunch out once a week, shopping on Fridays to Wal-Mart or somewhere like that, bible study that comes in, they bring in puppies, and they have music that comes in. The price is really good. I would consider it to be affordable for what it is. The facility is very nice. The rooms are spacious, and the place is always very clean. It's a great place.

The Charleston Senior Community was nice, but it was just too expensive, and my sister cannot afford it. The lower level was nice. The floor that I went to where the memory care was wasn’t all that great. The building needed some repair, but it was clean. The room was fine, a little bland, but perhaps once a person moves in, they could jazz it up to make it feel a little home-like. Overall, it was alright. They have some scheduled activities, and they have an area where they do things. It was a nice facility, but their cost was too high.

My parents moved to The Charleston. It looks like a high-end hotel with a movie theater, a fitness center, and a bar. They have crafts and activities, and a game room with electronic activities as well as puzzle and other games. They have a porch area that the residents can grow plants on if they like. They have daily activities, church, and people who come in and play on the piano. The staff is wonderful, very quick in responding, and do everything they can to accommodate the residents. I will highly recommend it to anybody who is trying to take their parents to an assisted living facility.

I toured the Charleston with my mom on behalf of my grandmother. The staff was exceptional and made us feel very welcomed. We were also so pleased with the rate as they were better than any other assisted livings in the area! We ultimate ended up picking the Charleston and my grandmother could not be happier! Highly recommend!!
