The staff and owners are amazing. My aunt was a resident here and they treated her like family. When my family would come to visit, my aunt was happy, healthy, and content. They always have something to do as far as activities, and the owners and staff are amazing. The caregivers are knowledgeable and so friendly. We were treated like family and my family and I couldn’t be more happy that my aunt is here.

I took a tour of Prince of Peace III in September. I looked at their memory care for my aunt. It's a very well-run family care home. It's very small, with no more than 7 or 8 clients. The staff is very caring and they have entertainment for their residents. The facility was very clean and the bedrooms were fair size. It has enough space for a bed, a dresser, and a night table. They have a room that all the clients can come to to socialize and talk. It's like a general space for them. The owners, the people that manage it, were very personable, and very caring. It was close to the highway and seemed like a nurturing environment. They kept health records for each client. They had a notebook that they kept so they could keep up with their medical supervision. Also, the medical personnel came to the facility so the clients didn't have to travel to different places for appointments, which is very nice. The facility was clean. They have a driveway to park for visitors. They did not accept pets but you could bring pets for visitations. The management lives onsite too. That is another very positive thing about the place.

I went to the Prince of Peace III. Yesterday was a very dreary day, so the home was a little dark I thought . It was clean. The room was nice that they had offered for my father to stay. Everything was clean and neat. The home is a little old, but I can understand that. It was a little dark, and I think that was because of the weather outside. All in all, I think it was a nice place. I spoke with the owner. She gave us the tour. The staff, I just saw them. They were friendly, but the owner was very nice. She gave me a lot of good information that I didn't know anything about. This is my first time doing this. She gave me a lot of good information and gave me information about what she provided for the residents there. I was very impressed. She did say they had puzzles. They had a little game. They had TV night where they pop popcorn and watch television. I don't know how much activity my dad would be doing, but I think he would enjoy being there because there were several ladies there. My dad likes talking to the ladies, so I think he would enjoy being there. They showed me the outdoors. They had a porch. When the weather's nice, the residents sit out on the front porch. The neighbors know some of the residents. The children and everyone in the neighborhood speaks to the residents when they are outside. I didn't see any other amenities other than the porch. I just think it could be a little brighter. The room that I saw for my dad had a brown comforter on the bed and the curtains were brown. I think it was either beige or white in between. The light didn't look like it was very bright. I would have thought that the house would have been just a little bit brighter.

The best thing I liked about Prince of Peace III was the communal atmosphere. The people were very cordial and happy to see visitors, it seems to be overall very relaxed. It seemed to be sort of a dark atmosphere, there was low lighting and it could have been brighter. Both the assisted living and memory care are on the same floor. I guess it's an older building, there are limited bathrooms and all the rooms are double occupancy. The staff who gave the tour seems to be very knowledgeable and very willing to share information. The ones we met were very friendly and open. They didn't offer much in the way of facilities but it looked very clean.

My mother has been a resident of Prince Of Peace 3 in Takoma Park, Maryland for several years. Our families' experience with Prince of Peace has been excellent! Everyone at Prince Of Peace-the owners and staff cares for my mom wonderfully and with absolute professionalism. The facility is a large house in the historic area of Takoma Park in a beautiful, vibrant community. It's also very close to my mother's doctors and Adventist Health Care Hospital. We are indeed grateful for Prince Of Peace!
