We couldn’t get my father out of here fast enough. He was on a puréed food diet due to choking. He has memory issues and 1 day a non puréed meal was served. Another day they totally skipped him and had to order him a meal after everyone. Thankfully we have a large family checking on him. He was rarely changed and mostly ignored.

Clean and modern facility. Nursing/CSA staff are mostly caring. Your loved one will definitely sit in their own waste if they are not able to get to the toilet, as there are too few staff per resident. This is for-profit health care, so keep that in mind. There are some kind PT/OT staff, but many are mean girls who hate their jobs and the elders they have to work with (Hi Melissa, Lori and Nikki!) My mom avoided COVID for four years but after a nurse named Danielle coughed all over my mom and her roommate, both were infected and my mom was dead within a month.

The Hermitage at Solomons is independently owned. It's a large facility, and it has an attached nursing home. The workers were extremely friendly. It's expensive, but the rooms and the dining area were attractive. It's two-stories and if I were to join my husband in his room, it's 75% of the one person price. The people we talked with were very pleasant, but none of the other auxiliary staff spoke or smiled or anything.

Horrible. Aides have overload of patients and always seem stressed and mad. Loud and vulgar at nurse station. Lights being ignored. I would not want my dog to stay there.

Worst facility ever....never enough staff to care for residents...facility stinks If you want your family member or friend to be taken care of properly don't send them here..1 aide had to take care of 15 patients..horrible resident to worker ratio. Patients sitting idle in he halls. Smell of bowel movement hits you in the face the momwnt you walk on the unit. I will never bring another family memeber to the facility again. It need to be shut down if they don't have the proper amount of help.

My mom was in Solomons for rehab of her broken hip. It was close to home. It's a very nice, lovely, clean and well-decorated facility. The staff was pretty nice and professional. The food was horrible though so we brought mom her food. The therapy department was very good.

I visited this facility several times to visit my adopted grandmother and was offered a tour by the staff. They staff was exceptionally friendly and very willing to answer any questions that I had. During the tour, I was shown the common areas of the facility including the day room, the nurses station and the grounds. I was also offered a tour of a patient room but declined as I was already familiar with the rooms. The patient rooms were spacious and clean and the staff encouraged residents to bring in their personal items from home in order to make the environment more home-like. The staff response time was impressive when summoned by residents and there were no residents merely sitting idol in the halls as I have seen in some other facilities. The activities seemed to be appropriate to adults and the residents overall seemed to enjoy the environment.
