I went to George Assisted Living Facility. It was very nice. The lady was very friendly and very informative. The issue with that one, she said she had another bed available for a female patient, but the lady that was the other person in that room had an issue of yelling out and making noises and odd sounds, and that was not appropriate for my mother. Nevertheless, they were very nice, and the patients appeared to be comfortable. They were in the living room. They had a TV and puzzles that they were doing. I think it's an excellent service. The apartments were very neat and clean. The residents were neat and clean, too. I didn't have any problem with them at all. The rooms were OK. They had a dresser, a bed, and a closet that's shared. It was satisfactory, but it was not what I would want for my mother. I would want her in a room by herself, but that's because that's how she was at home. When you have a house with three or four bedrooms, and then you put twin beds in each one so that you can have two women in a room, that's OK if that's their need and they don't need anything else, but because my mom has been at home with me all this time, it was just a little downgrade considering you're paying $3,000 to $4,000 a month. The staff member gave me a good tour. She took me to the bedrooms. She showed me the whole house where the residents were, and she told me about the activities they do like puzzles, games, and TV. It was clean and appropriate, but for the number of patients they had, I felt like it wasn't large enough.

George Assisted Living Facility felt homey, and that's what I'm looking for my aunt. She would do better in a residential environment versus a facility. Because with time and attention given, it's less people and it's more individualized. I would say it was homey, it was very clean, and it was very comfortable. I felt comfortable, and my aunt did, too. She interacted with the proprietor that was there. I walked around the bedrooms, the bathrooms, and the outside, and it was all clean. Everything was neat. I was very pleased. No smells. I was very happy about that.

I went to see George Assisted Living Facility's assisted living. It was okay and the staff was friendly. They were watching the news when I got there because it was in the evening. The staff said that they do activities but she didn't say too much about what they do. I meant to ask if they take them out for activities but with the Covid, of course, nobody knows much of anything. I should have asked about game boards, bingo, and that stuff but I didn't get the chance. It was okay though and they kept it clean.
