We took a quick tour to Nova Springs and I thought it was a little bit on the dated side. The rooms were all right. It was in a good location and it was reasonably priced. You didn't have to put so much of an initial fee. The staff I met was friendly and knowledgeable. A friend of mine lives there and he seems to be content.

I toured Nova Springs. The rooms were nice and big. It was all neat, orderly, and clean. The staff who toured me was a lady that was the manager also. The building was very clean. It had a very welcoming atmosphere. It was like walking into a motel or hotel where somebody was greeting you. The dining area was spacious. It had tables and tablecloths on them. It had decorations making it look homey. I only saw one room and the staff said they were all practically alike. They were very spacious. They had a TV, a bathroom, and a nice-sized bathroom. You didn't have to come out of the tub or the shower and hit the commode. There's plenty of room in the bathroom.

I toured Nova Springs. They were my first pick, and they still are. It was very clean, very functional, very open, and very cozy. I don't think they had kitchenettes in the rooms, but the rooms were spacious, and they were all private rooms. You didn't have to share a room with anyone, and you have your own bathroom. There was enough room in there where you could put a mini- fridge, a dresser, a TV, probably two more dressers, and maybe a recliner. The staff was sweet and very nice. I did not see their activities. They had a little schedule for the residents there, and it seemed like everyone looked happy, but I didn't see any activities going on. They had an in-house physician's assistant, which was valuable. They do 24/7 care, which the other place didn't do. I think the other place had like a med tech and somebody else onsite, but it wasn't like a doctor or a nurse. If you choose an outside doctor, they have transportation to and from. They have cable and telephone, and there is a barbershop, too. The place was really clean.

We have chosen Nova Springs for my mother. I like the price and the small, homey setting. The caregivers seemed like they truly cared. The room that my mom is going to have is beautiful. The staff was very informative, relaxed, knew all the information and answers to all my questions. It was a locked facility, which I also liked. They have a beautiful courtyard and a front porch, which is very cozy.
