I am/was a resident of this facility

I was there for eight weeks recovering from a deadly bone infection. The medical staff were always right on top of my tests and progress, shared that information, and let me know next steps. The PT team was professional and helpful. I felt secure and supported while I recovered. Facility is nice and clean, and there was not a soul on staff, from the food ladies all the way up, who were not encouraging.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was at The Pines. The therapists and the people were great, and everybody was treated respectfully and with dignity. The food, however, was terrible, just godawful. I ate better food in the hospital. My room was clean. They had all kinds of games for those who wanted to participate. They had many places where you could go outside. The facility is a good 20 or 30 years old. The food was better in the dining area. If you waited for them to bring it in your room, it'd be cold or lukewarm.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother is at The Pines now for rehab, and it's excellent, very large, clean, and neat. However, I cannot afford it for my aunt and feel it's not suitable for her. The rehab rooms are very nice, big and well set up. For long term care, there's mostly two people per room, but they also have some smaller, private rooms.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom was at The Pines for about a month for rehab. The rehab was excellent. They actually took good care of my mom. They were careful enough with the food as they had to make sure everything was grounded up. They were having some innovative kind of tasks and exercises but my mom didn't like it.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Each time we visited, we found the staff to be pleasant. Our Uncle's room and the rest of the facility seemed pretty clean. He was allowed to hang pictures and put up knicknacks to personalize his room a little. There was, however a strong smell of urine, but I suppose that is to be somewhat expected. Our uncle seemed well cared for, and had put on some weight. He really enjoyed the activities he participated in, especially bowling! It seemed that there were various activities such as Wii games, arts and crafts and religious services available for the residents to participate in if they wished to do so. On one occasion we visited in the dining room, albeit not during meal time. It was clean, and I believe a menu board may have been posted. I noticed that some residents were allowed to sit outside, but there were also measures taken to make sure others were not able to go outside without knowledge of the staff (those I am assuming, with dementia or alzhimers). While we were there we spoke with a resident who lived across the hall, and she seemed to be fairly pleased with her surroundings. All in all, I know that our uncle enjoyed his time there. If we are in need of a nursing facility for another family member at a future date, we will certainly consider this as a possibility.

I visited this facility

It smelled with a lack of hygene. The residents seemed to be neglected. The employes showed a lack of interest in the well being of the residents.
