My sister-in-law was in Lorien Bel Air. It was very nice and spacious. The staff members were very nice. However, the place was more clinical, and my sister-in-law didn't do much there.

The worst place to go. I was there for short term rehab and had to deal with people who were long term coming into my room. One women tried to grab my injured leg several times and another went into my room and ate some candy that was given to me. I complained to the head of the rehab but was told that these people live there so I had to deal with it. Also the food is horrible as well as patient care. I waited for two hours to get pain meds and the nurse said they were already given to me and I replied no one gave them to me. I also saw a nurse drop pills on the floor and give them to a patient. It is my opinion that this place is the pits!

My grandfather stayed for several months at this facility. Staff were very caring and supportive of his recovery. His physical therapists helped him regain movement after a small stroke, they seemed to thoroughly enjoy working with him and were as happy as we were with each milestone he reached. The facilities were very clean, and there were plenty of areas for visitors and patients to socialize outside of their rooms. There were also daily events to further stimulate the residents (such as pet therapy, ice cream socials, holiday celebrations, etc). While we were upset to have to put grandpa into an assisted living home, we were thankful that Lorien was able to provide the around the clock care that he needed and was not able to receive at home. I highly recommend Lorien.
