Kittery Estates is a beautiful residential place. My mother has a studio apartment which she loves. It looks out over the road, but you can see all the pretty trees. They have fresh linen and towels once a week. The only thing she has to care for is her own laundry. She gets three meals a day, and they have good food. Everybody has been very pleasant, polite, and right there if the residents need them. They have different types of apartments. They have a one-bedroom with a full living room, but none of them have a kitchen. You have to go down to the dining room and eat with the other seniors. They can also bring the food upstairs. They have a microwave and a refrigerator, but no stove. They get fresh cookies and baked breads every day. There's a library, artwork on the walls, trivia before dinner, fun things, and bus trips. This place is very clean, bright, and cheery.

I toured Holiday Kittery Estates. It's a great place to live. It gives me all the things that I want. It's just being able to afford it. They showed me two rooms that looked alike, one in the back and the other in the front. The balcony depends on your preferences and where you would prefer to sit. Jen was great. She was just wonderful.

The rooms I saw were fine. They were laid out well and were clean. The elevator were in need of cosmetic repair and it was explained to me that they had been updating the building for months. I wasn't sure why the elevator had been ignored! I was told by the Caring scheduler that I would have lunch and that a lunch would be packed for my husband who was not well enough to attend; instead, I was only offered a cup of mediocre coffee. The library was small and activities seemed limited. The person giving me the tour did not offer to sit down and answer my questions afterward, but handed me a brochure and lead me toward the door. It was explained that much of downtown Kittery is within walking distance; while I currently walk a lot, I'm not convinced that I would be able to walk to the library or the community center easily.

What I liked the most about Holiday Kittery Estates was all of the staff that we interacted with were extremely friendly. It was just a nice vibe. I also liked the location, because it's very convenient. Overall, the facility was in good shape. They were doing renovations, but it still looked fine, and I'm sure it will look even better when it is done. They have a patio, a beauty salon, in-house nurse care if needed, and transport if desired. It was great.

The Holiday Kittery Estates was an absolutely beautiful facility. It's clean and bright. One of the things I especially loved about it was the artwork on the walls in the hallways, it was just gorgeous. The woman who gave me the tour said that oftentimes if the weather is nice, they'll be out just walking around and looking at the artwork. It was just beautiful. The people I met were very nice, very kind, and very helpful. The woman who gave me the tour was wonderful and took her time with me. They had everything and they have a small calendar of activities like arts and crafts, movie nights, outings, game days, and all kinds of things. There's something for everyone. The room that I saw there was the same as the other place I toured. They had libraries, movie rooms, and activity rooms like arts and crafts areas. So there's plenty to do. They have gardens in raised beds, which residents helped with.

I went to visit Kittery Estates. The person who showed us through was very nice, and the dining area seemed to be nice. We were there at the time the people were eating. They had a smaller one-bedroom and a larger one-bedroom, and they also had a two-bedroom. What I would have been interested in is the larger one-bedroom, which was beautiful. It was on the third floor, and it had a small balcony. That I preferred for size-wise, and they had more room for all their belongings. They had a small kitchenette, and I thought it was very nice. They change your sheets and change your clothes, so that was also pleasant. If you had a guest, a guest could stay for $75 overnight, which was a lot cheaper than any of the surrounding hotels, and that would've been a nice feature there. They had a hair salon and different activities that you could participate in. The big downfall I had to that place was transportation through any of my appointments and them having one vehicle for that many people to take to their appointments. Also, their drivers are available from 9:30 to 1 p.m., and you cannot arrange to have all your appointments at that time. Again, the downfall to that place was getting my medications and going to the bank because the closest bank was 8 miles away and the closest place for my medications is about 9 miles away, and that would be a problem if you couldn't use the transportation that was provided by the facility. Well, the staff was wonderful and very well versed in everything. It is also a relatively new building.

I visited Kittery Estates. What I liked most were the opportunities for entertainment for the tenants. It seemed to be less of an old age home, and more of treating them like people with interest. So, there seemed to be a wide variety of activities for people in terms of in-house, but also transportation to other places, as well as a variety of options for meal plans. It was a good tour. Olga, who was the spokesperson, she was quite good at her job and very knowledgeable. It seemed clean, modern, and it seemed there was lots of room for people to have their private space as well as being open space.

I went to Kittery Estates. It was nice, modern, up to date. It's a place of consideration. The only drawback I see is at some point in time my mom is probably gonna need memory care, so we're trying to look for one place she can stay at and transition. It's well kept, they had a lot of activities, different areas on the campus basically would be accommodating for my mother, and I thought it would be a comfortable place for her to be. It's a nice location. They have games, they do field trips, they have a van that will take you to shopping, and different locations around the area. They have an event room, there's a library, a hair salon, pretty much everything she would need. The staff, they were nice, the people that I met. They screen you when you come in, wear masks, and do one-on-one, but the whole place is not as active as it normally would be in non-COVID times. The rooms were nice, like a regular apartment, and they were a good size, not like in a nursing home.

I was impressed with Kittery Estates but it would be up to my mother to make a decision. It was very nice and I was impressed because they had a lot to do there. It wasn't just one little room that you had for activities, it was very spread out. There were just so many different things that she could do if she wanted to take part in them. The rooms were very nice, and I was very impressed with their size. The staff showed me a studio, which would be enough for my mother. The amenities, like the walk-in tub and everything, with my mother being as old as she is, they just make it so much easier for her to do the same things that have become very difficult for her. They have a nurse on duty all the time, whereas some places they don't have one. My mother was impressed with the beauty salon because she wouldn't have to worry about getting a haircut. She just thought those different things were very nice. She is 103 years old, she has a walker, but she gets around, and she still does a lot of things for herself. For someone her age, she only takes one prescription medication, so she is in very good health. Other than her mobility, which isn't great but it's not bad either, she does very well for herself. The only thing that I feel that she needs care with is for somebody to come in and make sure that she is able to use the shower without us being worried about her using it. I was impressed by the dining room. There was a little group of people kind of social distancing at the tables talking, and it sounded like they were quite used to each other, so the social aspect of it seemed very nice. The staff explained the different activities that they have. The person I spoke with was very nice and very helpful, and she gave me a lot of information.

We went to Kittery Estates. Erin was excellent, and she was very informative. We did not see the menu or the food. I didn't like the location, and some of the apartments overlooked a manufacturing thing, or whatever it is, and I didn't care for that. The maintenance was excellent.

Kittery Estates was excellent and very clean. The person who helped me was excellent. If I had to go some place, I'd go there. There was no furniture in the apartment, but it looked clean. The residents were very friendly.

My mom moved into Kittery Estates, and were happy with it. I liked the three meals a day and the activities. She does the painting classes, crossword puzzle groups, regular puzzle groups, watch games in the main room, and be with other people. We liked it a lot better than the other place. They staff has been very helpful. They only have one elevator, so they should do something to make sure they always have a working elevator.

We liked the price of the rooms at Kettering Estates. The people were friendly. We did not like the grounds of the décor. It wasn’t as fancy as the other places, but the price was good and the woman that gave the tour was good.

The lady who showed us around Kittery Estates was very, very nice. We were invited for a free lunch, but the food was not that good. The rooms were very tiny with no kitchen at all, but that may be because they provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The place was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean. They also have many activities.

What impressed me about Kittery Estates was the overall setup of the place. The room I saw was a small efficiency with a fairly good-sized bathroom that included an accessibility shower and had a pretty good-sized bedroom with enough space for a queen-sized bed and a couple of bedside tables. It had a living room where you could put a couch and a dresser with a TV on it, a recliner and a little kitchen area without a stove, but it had a microwave, counter space, refrigerator, and sink. It also had a little outdoor balcony. It proved to be more expensive than my sister could afford. They did come back with a counter offer that she would've considered, but that wasn't a good time for her to move. The dining area was very nice and set up like a restaurant with cloth napkins. The staff all seemed very nice. It was more geared toward active, younger senior citizens.

Kittery Estates is a nice place. It’s a very clean facility, and the staff were very good. The rooms didn’t have stoves, just a little kitchenette with a sink and cupboards. They have people that come in and clean for us on weekends. They have chefs, and they serve three meals a day. I have a strict diet and they accommodate my dietary needs.

I only lived at Kittery Estates for one day, I signed a bunch of paperwork, and they haven't refunded any of the money yet that they asked from me, so I have to call them. For three meals a day, it was great. And the room gets cleaned once a week.

Hi, I'm Katie, I work at Holiday Retirement's Home Office. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time at Kittery Estates. Have you contacted Resident Relations here at Home Office to check on the status of a refund? If you haven't, I highly suggest calling them at 1-800-370-8331. Best of luck - I hope it works out!

Kittery Estates was very cozy. The people were friendly. The rooms were small, but very clean, and had a kitchenette. They had posted activities for people. The staff was very nice. I liked the independent living style and the apartment style, but they just didn't have enough services for my husband's aunt, and it was a little bit too far from our home.

Kittery Estates looked fairly new to me. It was a very clean facility. Regarding the staff, they were all very nice and very helpful. They have staff 24 hours a day. They showed me a couple of rooms. They have high ceilings. They also have a kitchenette with no stove. They serve three meals a day plus they have a breakfast bar that has foods and snacks all the time. I was there at lunch time and I saw the residents there eating and the food looked very good. I was very pleased with this facility overall.

I liked Kittery Estates very much because I was with people. Everything was nice there. They don't allow you to have your car but they have parking spaces. I didn't like that because I want to drive my car.
