The care that Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation gives to the residents is unbelievable. I can't say enough about them. It's not a new place, but it's clean and everybody is just so attentive. They are very good to the residents. I'm there almost every day to visit my brother so I see them often. They have a lot of activities in their community room. They have a nice little sunroom where they can go and watch movies. They seem to have a lot going for some of the residents there. My brother just can't go to those, but they have things posted on the bulletin board of the activities every day. They also have a little internal newsletter for the week that they give everybody about what's going on and people that they've honored for doing a good job. There are no private rooms, though. It's all double so there's not much space, but it's the care that is remarkable. They rotate the staff. They're on different wings at different times. So, they get to know all of the residents, which I think is a good thing. They've got it covered. Whenever I wheel my brother in the hallway to go to another wing, they talk to him. They all know him because they've all worked with him.

Crowded, shouldn't unplug outlets except behind the TV. Understaff, not very friendly all the time yelling at patients not giving all the medications to the patients. Leaves patients on bedpans for long then they should be.

My mother is a resident of Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation. She's in long-term care. Although the rehab center is good, the long-term care leaves a lot to be desired. She's in a very small room with very limited personal space, and very limited activities. The food is adequate, but my mother has not commented on it because she has lost her sense of taste. The staff members are adequately friendly and helpful, but they seem to be more focused on medical issues, and not so much the quality of life.

While my grandmother was there she came down with shingles from other patients. It took the staff over a week to diagnose her properly as the doctor only came to the facility once a week. My grandmother also caught pneumonia for her roommate. I was very displeased with the care. During visits the other residence at this facility seemed almost dead, not lively. They did not move, just sat in a circle of 15 or so in front of the door. It was very disheartening. The only reason I'm giving the rating of 2 stars is because they had a cat in the building which stayed with my grandmother often. She seemed to enjoy having a pet while there.

I visit my grandmother at Augusta Rehabilitation Center as she has been a resident there since suffering multiple strokes. Every time we go in everyone we encounter on the staff there is more than helpful and always smiling, the other residents there are out and about and always excited to see us because i bring my two daughters with me. The facilities are always clean and the rooms are a good size. I love that there is a large sitting area with panoramic views at one end of the building because my grandmother has always enjoyed butterflies and watching bird and this allows her to continue doing that. The overall atmosphere at the facility is great and very positive the staff seem happy to be there and they really get to know the patients and there family. The building is well maintained and so are the grounds making it an inviting place to come despite the pin pad lock on the door.
