My first choice is The Oaks of Louisiana. The facilities are very nice. The grounds are beautiful. Even though it's a large facility, everything is kind of close to the central areas. In some of the other places, there are very long walks like the dining halls and meeting rooms. But this was kind of very centralized and not much walking and that's one of the things I liked about it. The activities that they do there are pretty much the same as all the other three assisted living centers. The upkeep of the place was impeccable and immaculate. The overall appearance is very pretty.

We were very pleased with The Oaks of Louisiana. The staff was friendly and I liked the layout of the apartments. It's good. They offer lots of amenities. They have a heated pool, one meal a day that's included with your rent, then you can have other meals on a pay-per-meal basis. If you let them bring you breakfast/supper you can order them, but everybody goes down and eats a for lunch meal. It's a nice place.

The facility was on lock down due to Covid. No family could visit. The staff brought Covid into the facility and my mother caught it. When we were told she was dying we requested a compassionate visit. No one ever returned our call. My mother died without us being with her. If you have any feelings for our loved one the please look elsewhere.

I liked The Oaks of Louisiana. It was open, and you could tour everything and look, and we were very impressed. The rooms were small, but they're okay. The staff I met was very friendly. The atmosphere was good. They had tons of amenities, and that's what we liked about it. They had almost anything you could think of. They have a pool, a fitness center, a large walking trail, holes for men to putt on, a big library, and a bar.

The Oaks of Louisiana is beautiful and really nice. The staff who gave us the tour was good. The food is very good, and the rooms are different sizes and nice-sized for the price. They take people shopping and to the symphony, and they provide transportation to and from the doctors. They have cards and games during the day.

The nursing home area of this place is a disgrace! My loved one has gone TWICE over 6 days(that we know of) without a bath. They CONTINUALLY go hours and hours without checking on them. Stay away!

The Oaks is a little more expensive but more like a brand new facility. It expensive, but they offer many amenities. The place is very pretty and very well laid out. The very front entrance is very gorgeous. They have a family room where you can hold birthday parties. I think they have RN on staff at all times. The staff are very nice people. Their rooms are very clean and very nice. Overall, the facility is very nice and updated.

My parents chose this facility when my father's COPD became debilitating and my mother's dementia began. This facility provides apartment living, assisted living, and nursing home services. The staff was cheerful and courteous, helpful beyond their contractual duties, and a joy to be around. The food was very good. The facility was immaculately kept, and there were a variety of leisure activities for residents to enjoy. The only negative tyhing I can think of is that the facility was constructed on formerly farmed land, and as a consequence, there was little vegetation.
