I like Holiday Summerfield Estates. I had lunch, so I could see the atmosphere and taste their food. My goal was to check the quality of food, check the people, how they dressed, how they talked with each other, and do they seem happy, etc., and all of that was met. Their food was really good. They said they have an actual chef making the meals. The others were A-okay, but this one was just a tad touch beyond okay. Just good food. There was a large group in the center that was just having a ball. They had connected with each other. Some people were outside tending to their flowers. Some of them had back doors where you could get out and take your dog outside. There were different amenities, and I enjoyed hearing about each one of them. The room was not spacious, so you have to downgrade into a much smaller space and choose what it is you're going to bring with you. Nevertheless, it's a nice, caring atmosphere, and I learned a lot just by going and seeing and tasting and walking around. The staff who gave the tour was young, energetic, and willing to show me whatever. She was very good at explaining. She was as helpful and as sweet as she could be. Another thing I wanted to check out was the odor, and there was none. It was well kept up and clean.

They have a variety of rooms, but they are in poor condition. Dead roaches in cabinets and old furniture in the dining area. Everything looks dated. They are priced higher than competitors but their community is located in the worst area of Shreveport.

We toured Holiday Summerfield Estates. As far as the common area, everything was very nice and clean. They had different types of apartments and they were very spacious apartments. They are looking at doing some upgrades and some renovations, but compared to the new ones, it's an older facility. The lady giving the tours and information was extremely nice and sweet and made you feel comfortable.

The rooms are kinda small for anyone who's used to the space of a house, but you get used to it and they are nice. The community is great and so are the stall, especially the AGM

I have been here since February 20 24 and I love it here. I have a studio apartment which is just perfect for me since I’m live alone, but I have plenty of room to do whatever I want in my apartment. I do enjoy the food here most of all I don’t have to cook anymore 73 years old and I’ve done enough cooking. I do enjoy cooking right now. I don’t miss it at all, plus you don’t have to go to the store and buy any food. Take it home and prepare it. It’s great. I love the staff, especially the GM the bus driver and our activities coordinator, and Office manager. They are very helpful and caring. They help me if I have any issues or questions no questions. Do they ask they just handle whatever it is if they can I haven’t had any real problems here. I think you would really enjoy living here the best thing for you to do is come by for a visit and do a tour, give us a call

I went to Holiday Summerfield Estates. The experience was good. I just had complications with understanding the prices. The prices were fluctuating as the tour went on. I did enjoy the fact that they have a cafeteria and a lobby with the piano in it. And, I did get a chance to play the piano and talk to different residents at this location. I like the fact that they have transportation. Everything is pretty much in one package. It was a good visit and we viewed both of the one-bedrooms and I remember the price being set at $1,000 a month for everything. And there was a part I just didn't understand, and that was like the deposit. It seemed like there were two deposits. There was also an offer for a 90-day free stay. But I had to put down $1,000 first and then there was another deposit. So, I just decided I'd keep searching after that because I wasn't sure if the deal was tampered with or real or what. I mean, I like the property. I'm not sure about the numbers. The numbers just didn't make sense to me. The lobby area has a piano. I'm a musician, so that was a plus for me. And I did see a library there. I was able to go to the library. That was appealing to me because I love to read as well. And, the cafeteria was very spacious. And I like the fact they serve three meals a day. Even though there are a lot of foods that I don't eat, it's still a good deal.

I have moved to Holiday Summerfield Estates and I haven't found anything I don't like. Everybody is very friendly. Everyone introduces themselves and when you first move in they talk to you. I've been here a month and I couldn't tell you how many people I have met. They are all nice. The food is good. I have no issues with the staff. They offer cleaning and the young lady that cleans my room is very nice. They have a kitchen. It's just a nice place to live. Their meals are filling. You get a schedule once a week that tells you what is being served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You can pick and choose what you want. You can eat in the cafeteria or they call it the dining room, and they serve you at your table or you can call them up and tell them you wanted to go order, and you go pick it up. I enjoyed the dining room because you get to talk to everybody. They have crafts which you can do. They have a book club. They have arm strengthening exercises. They have chair exercises. I've never done this before but I walk outside the building and it is safe. I feel very safe walking outside.

While this is an independent living community they claim they will look in on your loved ones that is not true. They have repeatedly told me they will not walk down the hall and knock on the door of my 92 year old grandmother. I guess they would just let her lay till they couldn't stand the smell anymore if something had happened to her.

I will be moving into Holiday Summerfield Estates. The cleanliness and organization were very nice. I can't wait to move there. The staff during the tour was a man at first and I loved him. I was gonna move in because of him, but then they fired him, and the manager took me on a second tour but I liked her, too. My brother and I had lunch there and it was good, but I thought it was a little rich for me. I like plain simple food better, so I'm not thrilled about having to eat there three times a day, but I'm sure I'll adjust. They have all kinds of activities, including bingo, quilting, sewing, crafting, TV watching, movie watching, and trips to local places.

What I liked about my tour of Holiday Summerfield Estates was the size of the rooms. They were really nice and spacious. I liked the stuff they had there. I liked the way that the facility was laid out. The food was really good. All the people were really, really nice, and the residents were also very nice. It just had a really nice atmosphere. It was really nice. Everybody on the staff that I spoke to was also really nice. They had transportation, and they spoke a little bit about how far they go. I went to their gym. I think they could have a little bit more there because everything is just cardio. I would like it if they add a little more for resistance to keep my strength going. They said that the air conditioning keeps the whole place warm during the wintertime and cool during the summertime. The only thing that really bothered me was the odor; they couldn't get rid of it. It was the only thing that I didn't like.

I will be moving into Holiday Summerfield Estates. It's beautifully decorated. You feel very important there because they pay individual attention to you and make sure you're comfortable. They have very nice people. I feel safe there. Meals are included there. I had a very nice open tuna sandwich with vegetables on the plate, and it was very good. I've only been to the bingo game, but everything was really nice. Everybody was upbeat, and I enjoyed it. The facility was very clean. The amenities were very interesting. I look forward to some of the activities. They had a lot of activities.

Holiday Summerfield Estates was a very nice facility. It just wasn't a good fit for my father. If he got independent enough, it may be even something for him and my mom to do together. It's kind of like a big apartment complex, and they had plenty of amenities and stuff going on there. The rooms were more like apartments, not like hospital rooms at all. The main person I talked to the whole time was nice. He's called even a couple of times since we left just to check on dad and see how things are going, even though he knows that we're not a fit for that. We saw an efficiency apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. They're both very nice and looked pretty spacious. The one we saw had carpet in it, which probably wouldn't have been that good for somebody in a wheelchair, but they had hardwood floor options. They just didn't have one available to look at, at that time. They kept the facility good, clean and maintained.

Our tour at Holiday Summerfield Estates was fine, I like the place. It's very clean and well-organized. The staff who assisted us was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We didn't eat there but the food looked good and the dining area was clean. The residents were sitting in the lobby area, they have an area for assembling jigsaw puzzles that were kind of nice, and they have a beauty shop which looked kinda cute and a lady was doing her hair. I like the apartments with the balcony or patio, they were nice.

On the day I went to Holiday Summerfield Estates, it was very nice, everybody was very friendly, the place was very well kept, and they informed me about everything that was going on, the activities and things like that. I was very concerned about my mom's condition, so they introduced me to a couple of people that work there. Everybody seemed very friendly and helpful. They're willing to help me get my mother situated, and get everything lined up. They showed me an empty apartment, and they showed me an apartment with stuff in it. They don't have a microwave, but you're allowed to bring in one. They had a refrigerator and stove. A couple of apartments had balcony seating. So it was nice to see all of that. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about what was going on with the place and explained everything in detail. He was nice.

I went to visit Summerfield Estates, and I liked it a lot. The people were very nice. They took me to lunch, and the food was delicious. I think the fellow's name was Vincent. He was the one that made the decisions there. He showed me the different rooms, and they were all pleasant. I told them I needed assistance because I'm in a wheelchair. I think there were 3 floors. It was spotlessly clean. The people were friendly, and some even came and ate with me. The place has flowers around them, and it's close to Willis-Knighton Hospital on Baird Road. During mealtime, there was a menu. You could take one of the three lunch recipes. I chose the fish, and I loved it; it was delicious. For activities, they have bingo and they get some entertainment.

Summerfield Estates was clean, and the people were very personable. They invited us for lunch, and the food was good. We just had a problem with the space; it wasn't large enough for us. It had a kitchenette type of area, but we wanted more of a bigger kitchen. The person who gave us the tour was good. She was very personable and helpful in answering all of our questions. We didn't have any problem whatsoever with her. The dining area was very pleasant. They had tables spaced nicely and far apart, so the wheelchairs could get through. It was decorated really well too. The dining area, the tables, and the chairs were all of a very nice quality. They were playing a game when we were there. They were doing it in the activity room, and everybody seemed to be enjoying it. They said they have bingo sometimes, and I think they had a singer come in to entertain a couple of times. They had a list of things that they did, and they gave us a list of the weekly activities. They had a bus to take people where they needed to go like other appointments or whatsoever. They had a staff dietician, and they offer you three meals a day. They were nutritious. It had housekeeping also. It had a lot of things for older people, but my husband and I didn't really feel like we were that old. They have people in their 80s and 90s there.

My sister has moved into Summerfield Estates. It's a wonderful community. All of the residents are very friendly and kind. All of the employees and staff are wonderful. No complaints. The food is delicious. The laundry services are convenient and right there close to her room. Everything is excellent. All of the people are so friendly. When I go to visit, everyone speaks to you as you're walking through. She enjoys all the activities that they offer there. They play cards, bingo, dominoes, and toss bean bags. They had a social and a carnival event since she has been there. They're working on a big table puzzle. She loves all of it.

My father-in-law has moved into Summerfield Estates. He likes it, and the staff and the residents are really friendly. They offered him transportation to dialysis. The staff members are helpful, attentive, welcoming, and long-term employees. It's well landscaped and quiet, and it's in a nice location. They have a barbershop, a hair salon in the facility, animals are welcome, there are birds, and there's a pool table. It has lots of perks.

I visited Summerfield Estates. It was a good experience. The staff was very understanding. I saw a two-bedroom, and it was decent. It had a refrigerator, but they didn't have stoves in there. My parents were looking for a stove and that was the only thing that was concerning them, because they really like to cook. It's liveable. They served brown rice, baked chicken, and a roll, and it was decent.

We went to Summerfield Estates. They were wonderful. Nate was wonderful, and he followed up several times afterward until I finally said just take us off the list for right now because we're letting my brother-in-law make his own decisions. The room we saw was perfect. It had a refrigerator and a kitchenette, but you had to bring a microwave, and it didn't have a stove. The staff was awesome.

I've been in Summerfield Estates, and it's been a good experience. The people are friendly, and they've got good staff. The food is alright; I like most of it. The apartments are very nice. It's convenient to my sons. I've got a one-bedroom apartment, and it's adequate. They provide housecleaning, and activities include bingo, beanbag baseball, dominoes, and puzzles. It was in my price range.

Summerfield Estates was a place that I would consider for my mother if I had one. It was a very nice place and I liked it. The people were very friendly and very helpful. They're more like apartments, which were real nice. There were exercises going on with the residents when I went in.

I highly recommend Summerfield Estates. It had caring staff, and the activities had a lot of resident involvement. I have tried the food, and it was fair. The dining area was like a cafeteria. The rooms were very nice with an open floor plan and a balcony, but it would be better if they would use hardwood floors instead of carpets or a rubber mat where the wheelchairs could easily be navigated. The staff was wonderful, extremely accommodating, and helpful. They were bringing food to our room if we were unable to go to the dining area.

The presentation at the Summerfield Estates was great. It was warm and inviting. The atmosphere was fine, but the particular room I saw was kind of small. What they had available was more than what I needed. The person I made contact with almost sold me because I feel like my brother would be in a warm and safe environment. I noticed they had a library, a workout room, and activities. The person who gave me the tour was so nice, thorough, polite, friendly, and patient. Had I chosen that place, I know they are going to be friends with my brother.

I really liked Summerfield, and if we’re able to do this type of care, this is where I want mom to go. There was a sense of privacy even though the rooms were close to the activity area. The activity seemed to be varied. I met several residents and had some really good conversations; everybody seemed pretty happy with where they were, and they’re very welcoming.

Our church group would go to Summerfield Estates and sing occasionally. My son-in-law has played there for entertainment. The people are very friendly. I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits when I go there. I think a couple of times we ate lunch, and it was fine. But I did not go into rooms. The place is very attractive. I have been very pleased with what I have seen.

Summerfield is a beautiful facility. The staff was wonderful and caring. They showed us a very nice, small, one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, living room and bathroom. There was a balcony in the ground floor unit, and the one upstairs had one, too. It’s really nice, and I like it.

My sister has been in Summerfield Estates for about two weeks now. At first when I was still trying to find a place for her, the price was within our limit, but the saleswoman just really did a strong sales pitch in the back that some things that she told me was not what was in the contract. When she sent the paperwork, I realized that the paperwork was all wrong, and I called her back. She had to resend it, and I did not have time to read everything. I was kind of disappointed with the salesmanship. I was expecting them to work with me because I was in the middle of trying to figure out where I needed to put her. When I checked her in there, I told them I am afraid that this is not going to work and I am afraid that she is worse then what I thought. She is having extra problems that they did not tell me about. She has a one room apartment. Everything is in one room. It is the smallest and cheapest one they have. It is on the first floor which is what we had hoped for. She would like to have something bigger, but at the time, we could not afford to get more. They did tell her that if she wants a bigger room, she could do that later. I have not eaten there, but my husband said the food is good. All the residents that I have talked to also said it is really good. However, my sister has diabetes, and she said the meals are not geared towards that. I do not really know all the activities that they have, but they play cards and they take them out shopping and to restaurants. They also have a lot of people come in to entertain them. The management seems to be very nice.

We visited Summerfield, and we were treated respectfully. It had a two-bedroom and two-bath apartment, but there was no room for anything else. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The dining room was beautiful, well appointed, and clean, but we didn’t have time for a meal. They had sign-ups for trips outside the facilities for casinos and shopping. They had an on-site beauty shop. They were plenty of activities available.

It was really good when we first got to Summerfield Estates. They were really nice. The assistant managers were okay. But I think the company is going down and it started cutting corners and staff. Several people moved out before we moved out. And they were going to increase the rent this year.
