Mom moved to Waldon Health Care Center and our experience has been OK. The facility is good. It is a nice place and it looks like they cared about the people. They have a lot of activities, but my mom can't see and hear too well, so she only goes to activities that she can. They have bingo, exercises, and card playing.

My aunt has dementia and on dementia medicine. I have POA. They tell me my POA means nothing. The bathroom doesn't work correctly. And have told them several times to no avail. Floors are sticky, social worker is very rude. I'm not allowed to see my aunt; I have to have supervised visits. They are always getting her to sign papers, and she can't remember what she is signing. Even though we have told them and my aunt we don't want her signing anything without one of us (her nieces) there with her. They had her SS go to the Nursing Home - My aunt didn't know what they were asking. I would not recommend this place. They take her to doctor appointments and the aid has to go in the room with you (family member is always at the doctor visit with her). Aid does not belong in the doctor visit with you. None of their business. Information is referred back to the nurse.

I have been visiting friends at this facility for 7 years...... Nothing ever changes, they are under staffed and their quality of care is below par, which reflects in their ratings. The staff are there to make there 8 hours, and that's it. There is very little compassion, or personal attention to the patients needs and wants. The staff treats visitors with no respect. When you ask staff any questions they cannot provide you with an accurate answer. They 're best response is let me check and let you know, then they disappear. A lot of employees don't even where name tags. And staff turn over is outrageous, they can't get or keep good caregivers. My patience runs thin every time I visit. Just saying! AH

I looked at Waldon Health Care Center for my husband. It was very depressing. It was basically a whole lot of droolers. If you can have this individual picture of having a round table where people are in wheelchairs and basically propped on a table and left there with their heads napping, resting, or zoned out for hours, and that's majority of what I saw at Waldon Health Care Center. Appearance was very drab, and I didn't see any activities.

I don’t like it all. She is in Waldon Health Care. She has fallen, and they have denied me of visitation. I lowered her bed so she can keep her feet from getting bruised as it was not so severe 3 months ago. Because I lowered her bed to ask the CNA to help me, she ran off. The next day I got a call saying I am no longer to see my mother. The place is ripping me off. My mother loves me very much as I do her. They already ripped my mother $1300 of service that I don’t even know about. They should respect the 24 hour visitation enclosed in their foyer as you walk in. They tell me I can’t say what I want.
