I have a relative in this facility and I'm going to try my best to get them out of there. I understand if you are shorthanded, but the patients still need to be taken care of. If a patient is hollering for help and you are sitting at the desk listening to them without even moving, I have and issue with that. All you can say if "what they want now". That's cruel. When you call, they will transfer you and no one will ever answer. I'm just going to keep praying so things can work in my favor.

My sister was in Heritage Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center Ferriday. If I could give zeroes on it, I would give zeroes on everything. The most I liked about it was the doctor that took care of her when she was there for wound care. Most of that was done in the hospital that was right in front of it, but he did continue to see her in Heritage Manor. The staff only called me back one time, and that was because the second administrator told the lady to let me know that they would pay for some glasses that were lost there for my sister. That was the only time. She stayed in bed all the time and I was told that she would never walk again, that they wouldn't get her out for physical therapy because she couldn't walk. She was walking when she entered there, and now she walks, she walks all the time. So it was a devastating thing for them to tell me that. And then right after that, they started doing physical therapy on her.. It was an administrator with the caseworker who told me she would never walk again. Right after that, they started doing physical therapy on her. We were only let in one time during COVID. The nurses told us to go down the hall but the administrator came running out and ran us out. So there was a lack of communication all around, from nurses to administrators. She was out of there in two months, we got a bill for over $9,500. Since then, Medicare and Tricare has paid, so she has a zero balance, but they wanted me to settle with them and sign an agreement that I would pay them $2500 and release them from all responsibilities on anything. My sister fell at least five times in there because she could walk so she tried to get up by herself to try to walk and she fell. They left her in bed all the time and never did anything with her.
