The facility is beautiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It was a tough decision to put our Dad in a nursing facility but the staff at Forest Manor became our family. They have many staff members who have been employees here for over 25 years. The Activity Director has been there over 30 years.

Staff are all smiles, but very fake and always have excuses about why thinks are not being done. My family member had Covid and they didn’t even test her, just sent her off to the hospital only after she complained about feeling so bad! For the ridiculous amount of money that’s being paid to this facility, you’d think it would be top notch. So sad, that residents are charged this much and receive such poor care. I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office in Baton Rouge to see what can be done about seniors care in these type facilities.

Patient is not getting proper care. She is pretty much left to fend for herself. After paying this much money she definitely deserves much better…

I liked the cleanliness and friendliness of Forest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation. Everybody and all the services that they offer were good. The rooms were really nice. It's not too old of a facility. So, everything was updated and modernized. The rooms were big that you could bring some of your own furniture in. They had a big courtyard and several different common areas with couches and furniture where several people could come to visit. It's just an overall great tour experience.

The nursing staff is unresponsive to patient and family members. The doctor has yet to see patient. Staff is inconsistent with mask wearing. The room is ok. Skimpy mattress.

Amazing place. What a beautiful facility! When visiting the residents are smiling and seem very happy. The rooms are huge compared to the other places we visited. Go to their website and check out the photos.

My Mother has been in the facility for less than 30 days and we have had to re-purchase clothing twice. The residents are lined up like cattle to shower and their dirty clothes are all thrown into a receptacle together to be sent to laundry. My Mother arrived at the facility on a Wednesday with 4 outfits and a guarantee that the clothes were laundered and returned to the residents daily. When we returned to visit that Saturday she was sitting in her wheelchair in her underwear covered with a blanket because she had nothing to wear and no one could find her items. We increased her wardrobe to 6 outfits and upon our next visit again found here the same exact way, WITHOUT ANY CLOTHES TO WEAR. We have again increased her wardrobe to 12 sets of clothing and will be forced to assume here laundering duties because we cannot afford disposable clothing. Next review I will tell you about the pitiful care she is receiving after normal business hours. She will not be here much longer!

When we arrived with my mother, no one walked us to the room and we waited 30 minutes before the nurse on duty arrived. Poor medical care from nurse practioner and doctor. No communication with family. Employees and administrators are all smiles, but patient care is extremely poor.

Forest Manor Nursing is a new facility, just about 2 years old. It's a beautiful place. The rooms are large. Everything is new. They showed us all the different areas. They have a nice dining room.

I visited Forest Manor. My experience with them was very good. We are considering them for my mom. My mom requires a great deal of medical care, so if we would need to do Medicaid, this would be our place of choice for both my parents. It was very clean. It is a brand new building, so it is a very nice facility. It doesn't feel like a typical nursing home. It has nice, wide, carpeted hallways. The bedrooms have nreally nice furniture. Overall, I have a very good impression of them. The staff was very nice and very smiley and seems very genuinely happy. They have more activities that I can remember. They have a huge whiteboard calendar in the hallway with activities filling up every single day. And they also provide transportation to the store and such for the residents. They have two separate dining rooms – one for their residents who do not need assistance and one for their residents who do need assistance for eating.

I thought it was very expensive; it was probably two-thirds more expensive than what we are paying now. It was brand new and absolutely beautiful, but I realized that my mother-in-law wasn't quite at the skilled nursing level; she was more of an assisted living candidate, so she really didn’t need all the services that Forest Manor provided. It was just beautiful; it looked like a five-star hotel. One thing I did like was they have the rehab room there, so if you wanted to go in and get some rehab like on your knees or legs or whatever you needed, you can go in there. And they have more like a gym, so it was a gym and rehab room. The general atmosphere was just wonderful. The people were very nice, and they loved my mother-in-law. I was very impressed with it, and I just wished that we could have afforded it. But then again, I don't think this was really the place for her because she is more active than what they seem to be.

Forest Manor has just opened. It is just a really nice facility. It is really big. I like the newness of it. The staff was nice, but they didn't have a lockdown unit so I guess people that might have dementia would just come up around the hall at night. You don't really want somebody walking in your room. It is a beautiful place. It was just big, and I thought it would be confusing to someone who is older and in a wheelchair. I checked the board, and they all have activities going on for the residents. They have a piano player, and that seems to cheer them up a little bit. But I think it could be a little bit more, like if they have a song sheet they could see the words so they can participate more. It was very clean, and the ambiance was good. It's new -- only like a couple of months old. It was nice. The nurse I spoke with seemed to be very helpful. She was very helpful in pointing out which way I could possibly go based on the situation I was in.

Forest Manor was all flowers and beautiful up front, but underneath it wasn’t that great. My dad was there before -- his razor got stolen; they broke his glasses; and the manager threw his brand new laundry basket in the trash. They had good food and the dining area is very clean. Although they had a lot of people on staff, I felt there were times they could have had more people to deal with the patients. It felt like a death camp and it was sad.

We brought my mother in Forest Manor from a week stay at the hospital. Unfortunately, she had a slight stroke and fell the first day. Nothing was broken, but when she tripped over someone, she had cut her chin and she had fallen on her knee. The staff was very nice, however, it would have been better if she would have been watched a little bit more closely. Mom wasn't as physically fit as she had been before because she's just been in the hospital for seven days. But we got her home and she's currently undergoing physical therapy as an outpatient.
